In the year 1927 saw the renaming of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland into the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, recognising in name the Irish Free State's independence, it having come into existence with the Anglo-Irish Treaty in 1922.

Love the sound of the crowns, nice pick up, thanks for sharing 👍

Iv never seen an Edward 7th crown, until now.

Congrats on the hammered coin, spectacular

Great coins, especially the James I shilling. In 1927 the first talking picture, The Jazz Singer, was released - You ain't heard nothing yet! As was said at the time

back in the 80's and 90's would get most of that for scrap price

Great selection as ever.
The Charles II coin and the Victoria crowns are lovely.
Keep it up.

Extraordinario umboxing ❤

I like this bro🎉🎉

Cool coins there

That Charles II crown at 24:14 is an interesting overdate - 1677/6.

Very professional attire!

Lots of beautiful coins, especially the crowns. My wallet would be in major trouble if that were a Charles II shilling as I don't have that one yet!

Too many great coins to pick but I do love the Edward VII crown

That is a lovely James I shilling buddy!! Cheers from Queensland.

Beautiful coins! Love the James I shilling, that is a beauty! And 165 quid for a 1677 crown is a bargain IMO.

In 1927, my country, Argentina, went back to the gold standard following Britain's return a couple of years before, in 1925.

Why is the Jubilee crown on Victoria's head very small ?

@12:12 I know of the interesting quirk of the silver 1920 three pence being either sterling or 50%. 🙂. I found out another very odd quirk through my metal detecting and the abilities of new metal detectors. If you want you could look into this for us metal detectorists and coin collectors. 😀. My metal detector gives a number on the screen for each target ( number doesn't give specific information for metal types etc but it helps ). 🙂. Now for the interesting part I can tell sterling from 50% silver if I wave a silver coin over the coil for example any 1920 onwards florin is about a number 27 which means 50% silver EXCEPT WHEN I FOUND A 1923 FLORIN RECENTLY IT WAS A 32 😵‍💫🥴🧐on the screen that is BONKERS because that number would indicate sterling and not 50% as it should be. 🤔. What adds to the madness I already had 2 1923 florins found years ago and they are also 32 on the detector screen. 🤔. There is something very mischievous about the 1923 Florin is it actually sterling silver ( it should be 50% ) or has it got a lot more copper in it and very low silver content. 🤔. P.s. I use a Minelab Equinox 800 metal detector. 🥰.

It might be my eyes, but im sure there was a 1927 3 pence there amongst the 50% 3 pences 🧐
