Thanks Ross, you did a great job of capturing the beauty of these villages. I’m 75 and walked with my elder sister up Selworthy Beacon and Dunkery Beacon this year. Allerford post office is one of the best cream teas, The Travellers rest at County gate for the best cake, Don’t miss out Luccombe and Bratton. I spent a peaceful but unsuccessful afternoon fishing off Bossington beach. Walked round past Hurleston point but chickened out getting down to the quicksand at Selworthy sand. Don’t underestimate the beautiful footpaths all over North Hill at Minehead. This really is heaven on earth.

I was born in Minehead and later often walked in the area you covered . Thanks for reviving my memories. I now live in France, similar scenery where I am, but of course not really the same. Chris

It’s a catch 22 isn’t it with Somerset, more people should visit the area, but at the same time you don’t as you don’t want to ruin the area!

Love this part of the world. The mill at Horner was derelict for years but now it's been restored. Beautiful. (Yes I've climbed up to Dunkery Beacon too sadly no more. 😢) Thank you for this video for all these lovely memories. 🤗

I love these stunning villages. The scenery really does speak for itself so don't worry if you can't find any words, sometimes none are needed. The view from the bench was wonderful.

we wander all three of these villages three times a year. Twice staying in a static caravan at the beautiful Burrowhayes campsite and once a year at a gorgeous apartment at The Packhorse in Allerford (the building on the river right next to the packhourse bridge in your video ) run by the lovely couple Will and Paul . If you want beautiful walks, nature and peace and tranquillity you;re not going to find anywhere better - it's simply magical ! And do make the effort to climb up to Webbbers Post from Horner. The walk though challenging is beautiful through the woods. From Webbers Post . a litte further down the lane is my favourite path of all time - Boys Path - now this really is magical and is surely where the faeries and goblins live !!!!!
