Alexandria had one Hell of a run until the protagonists came to town.

Reg Monroe, a professor of architecture, didnt realize having the supports on the outside of the walls rather than the inside was a major security flaw.

How this place survived for so long before Rick showed is beyond me

The original leaders wanted Alexandria to rebuild the world, and they were naive. They understood what the walkers were but they had no real understanding of what the rest of the world was like. I think they assumed most of the outside world was as it was before and not the wasteland of walkers and raiders like the saviors and wolves. They needed ricks group to have a reality check. And through them eventually it did

I rewatched Season 5 and I think there’s a small environmental story when the group shelters in a barn before going to Alexandria. The walker Maggie kills who had a gun but didn’t use it

You would need a very large work force to maintain a functioning railroad.

They should have a rule where you have to sleep with the door locked in case you die in your sleep

It's funny to me that so much happened to Alexandria in such a short time, but during the 6 year timeskip, everything was fine, if something important happened, characters would've mentioned it, well that's the thing with timeskips i guess.

being from Alexandria VA its pretty cool to see it become successful post apocalypse.

I toured this place… crazy thing is it’s literally a block away from “Woodbury” and about two blocks from where Carl was eating pudding on the roof

1:34 “or grab some cereal”

Me: pouring myself some rice crispies oh?

The "highly educated individuals" had no concept that desperate people, or just psychopaths, we're a threat to them. Ridiculous.

Maggie and Daryl got Rick “killed” and Michonne would have never got over it.

Honestly, as far as the quarry full of walkers goes, they totally could've just reinforced the ramp up and out. Like, find more big trucks and such to park down there, then cut down trees to pile up behind them or something. Maybe knock some big logs down into the quarry and burn them on occasion. The quarry was clearly a massive threat, but also drew in walkers that would've otherwise roamed towards the settlement.

This video is a 10/10. I always liked Alexandria and S5 and S6. Only mistake I found was that there were cusalties when Negan attacked the Alexandria with "scorched earth" tactic, but it were minor charachters only, at least according to Walking Dead Wiki

You should make a history of different settlements like The Prison (which you kind of did), woodbury, Virginia's pioneers, strands tower, etc

i stepped away from twd around season six, but continue to watch youtubers talk about it. this video told me sooooo many things i never knew. it makes me want to go watch it all over again and see how far i can make it before discontinuing it once again. thanks for the video! it was great!

I remember being convinced alexandria would fall within a few seasons,
At that point every settlement and camp had fallen,
The farm,
The prison,
Woodsbury,
Terminus,
The police station,
But it stuck around
