Woodturning the dragons grip vessel.  This is the first piece of a work of art that has been in the planning stage for many months.  This vessel started as a piece of cottonwood and was turned with a point on the bottom to sit into a stand.  Once it was turned I used a woodburning pen to burn a pattern that resembles dragon scales.  The final step was to use acrylic paints to dry brush layered colors.
