“The taking of Deborah Logan” is such an AMAZING movie!  I’ve watched it at least a half dozen times over the years.

I think the explanation is at least two things: 1. people are chasing that pure fear for their lives that only a few films offer, and 2. that horror fans are so into the vibes that we regularly accept shortcomings if they have at least one aspect nailed. Maybe it's lore, maybe it's tone, maybe it's cinematography, whatever. If they nail it, we're on board despite the bs. And recommendations from that become conflated with recommendations of "the top-tier horror". Cause many people don't come to horror for casual viewing, it's to seek out discomfort in a way specific to them.

I found Primate to be a horror comedy. A very dark comedy 😂 I was surprised how much I enjoyed it!

Late Night with the Devil was also a fantastic Prime watch.

I've been watching horrow movies for over 40 years. "We are Still Here" is absolutely frightening, even upon rewatches. Love it.  Kudos also to Oculus, House of the Devil, 1000 Corpses, and its sequel Devil's Rejects (also currently avail). Thanks yet again for another great list of recs.

Another banging list, Darren! Thanks again.

We are Still Here. Glad it got a mention here. It is a fantastic movie and despite being a haunting type movie, it is gory and insane.

The First Omen is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

2:54 great explanation. Had an excellent time watching Primate with the whole family.

House of the devil is one of the best slow burns ever. Such a great watch

Awesome friggin list! I've seen all these movies except for one, and the Terrifier movies along with House of 1000 Corpses are my fave! The First Omen was surprisingly excellent! Also, sorry about Peanut, you talked in the past tense, so very sorry 😞

I’m so happy to have you as a recource for all things on the spooktober watchlist👀

Thanks for the vid!

Great list!

I love love love when you do horror movie lists. More please!

Much appreciated as usual Sir awesome 🤘🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾Can't go wrong with any

YESSSSSS to ALL the Hell House movies 🍿 🙌🏻
I have watched so many horror movies as it’s my favorite movie genre by far and I have watched and re watched several times every Hell House movie.
It’s creepy and scary and I loved the documentary feel/format. I told my 12 year old daughter it was a real documentary and she and her father both believed me until the end 😂
So good.

Darren is great at this 😌

Thank you! This is exactly what I needed.
