There are 2 moments where the audio cuts out and that’s because YouTube flagged the music for copyright. 🤷‍♂️

As a symbol of how dangerous it is for Ilya to be Gay in Russia,  did you notice the police car passing through right when he tells Shane he loves him ?

“Romance is just comedy that people take seriously “ is such an unexpected deep statement

Nothing made me happier than hearing that Jacob tierney, who directed the show, thought Hudson’s acting as concussed and high on pain meds Shane was so cute and free from his anxieties that he cried while they filmed it, that healed my soul

as a russian i'm telling you ILYA SLAYED THAT MONOLOGUE. everyone i know was crying cause it was just so beautiful of him. he delivered the right emotions so well

I love how you said that technically Ilya is the only one who took care of their father. I haven't heard any other reactors point this out. It's so true.

I love how Ilya can play 2 positions (wing and center, bisexual) yet Shane can only play center (gay).

"shane, no one can ever dim your sparkle, and if they try, i will murder them" (22:20) i have never agreed with anything more actually

If you want to know how authentic his Russian sounds- he said in an interview that some of the actual Russian actors started speaking to him off camera in Russian cause they thought he was also Russian 😅

‘Hudson if you don’t stop being such a goddamn cutie patootie I’m gonna be forced to hang up your poster up in my bedroom’😂😂😂😂😂

Fun fact! Shane's heartrate in the hospital room is over 100 but goes down to 81 (Ilya's number) when Ilya holds his hand. Super cute easter egg and medically factual. Touch release oxytocin which helps reduce stress and lower your heartrate if you're in pain/stressed.

"I think we might be gay" and then Shane's line made me laugh so hard I couldn't BREATHE--

One thing I appreciated on rewatches is that every single time Shane answers a question with "Sure" he's being a big fat lying liar.

Fun fact about the memories I’m Shane’s flashbacks of him and Ilya: They aren’t replayed scenes, the are different recorded scenes to show how Shane views the events rather than the reality

"I don't watch romance" while both talking about Love Simon and Moonlight, Danny, are you sure you just don't watch straight romance?

Danny always says he doesn't watch romances and then pulls up with a Love, Simon reference

"It felt like the sad scene ate up the sex scene and then spit out its bones."

You just wait for season two lmao

35:00 this exact scene being followed by "i'm coming to the cottage" is the definition of why representation matters.

I couldn't stop crying the whole thing and then the end hit like a bullet train. 😭 Also, that's not banana bread, it's dark rye bread; a Russian tradition to honor the recenently deceased. Up next, welcome to the cottage.

Not enough people are talking about your incredible copyright-avoidant vocals. “They’re gonna skate through the hearts of each other” has got me cackling
