2:09 Is that Star Wars arcade I hear in the background?

The local arcade had a monitor on top of the cabinet because so many people would crowd around to watch the game.

Great to watch someone actually playing the game, not just watching the video.

Hard to believe that this game came out in 1983.

I blew all my allowance for two months in a row playing this before I beat it in 1984.

This game was one of my first memories of the arcade ever. I was much too young to understand how to play it but I stood there and watched the videos when no one else was playing and thought it was the coolest thing ever.

I was pretty decent at a many arcade games, but this one SHREDDED my quarters.

I was 12 or 13. I watched a guy play through the game on one quarter. I'm 54 now and still remember it.

Great gameplay. Weird that this video didn't come up in subscriptions playlist.

Hearing Metal Slug in the background 🙌

0:57 SOMEBODY’S BOOTING UP THE NEO GEO

My first DLair experience was at Disneyland in Anaheim Ca in the early 80’s it stood out from all the other games because of the cartoon graphics, sound and display were so unique. I had no idea what to do but, it was glorious. Later I bought Fleer scratch game trading cards of Dragon’s Lair at the local liquor store my pops bought beer.

Amazing Graphics for an old Arcade, looks cartoon quality!

I was 6 when this came out.  It was a huge deal and was like nothing else we'd seen. The fact that it cost .50 was wild at the time.

I could hear the star wars in the background... STAR WARS!!! This play through is really neat too...

ONLY YE MAY ENTER WHO CAN BEATETH DRAGON SLAYER WITH A MERE QUARTER! THE CHOSEN! 👑

I wish i grew up in the arcade era of the 80s

When this came out over 40 years ago, I use to go to the arcade when it cost .50 cents to play. I memorized it and went through the game without losing a 🧍‍♂️ great 👍🏾 video. Brings back memories ❤

Wow, very impressive.  I can beat the game, but not on just one man.  That takes real skill!

So much trial and error playing this game.  Cost me many quarters back then, and I never got close to finishing.
