That movie is pure and heavy 2000's vibes

“just to set the record straight, I do wash my clothes 😁!” what a way to start a new video

this whole movie looks like it was filmed in VR chat

I swear the Barbie diaries has one of the worst animations but it’s so frickin addictive 😭😭

I can’t believe Barbie’s love interest is a “where’s my hug” guy

"please, she sounds like a deodorant" and "dear yellow legal pad" are still my favorite bits LMAO

I literally quote “just to set the record straight I do wash my clothes” every day. I said it to my dad and he gave me a look of such concern and disappointment 😂😂

There’s just something so iconic about this version of Barbie

Most of the soundtrack was done by a girl named Skye Sweetnam, the DVD used to have a special feature of her recording the songs and stuff, she was really young when it was done. She now has a heavy metal band named Sumo Cyco 🖤 I loved this movie growing up and always kept up with her 😁

What did shadows ever do to these animators that they banished them from their movie? It’s such a choice and truly heinous and I wouldn’t want it any other way

“Girl hug with Kevin?”

This movie is pure 2000s. The optimism, the pop rock music, the endearing cheesiness. It's timeless and I'll always love it. Note to Self is an absolute bop.

3:00. This brings me back to when I had a Covid fever and wrote in an essay that JFK was voted in because he was 'young, fresh & fruity'. And then I put (deodorant?). My teacher didn't know what to do with me.

No one:

Kevin: 'Please, she sounds like a deodorant'.

I’m obsessed with the transition from “I can’t write in my diary, I need to write in my diary!!” to “Dear yellow legal pad 🙂”

Wait they look exactly like Clawdeen and Draculaura

3:54 he looks like he never tasted a cookie before and he's absolutely amazed.

“Glue speaking” is my favourite line in this movie 😂

The fact that the movie is already so unhinged there is not much editing in the video is my favorite part

This makes the Bratz animations look top tier 😭
