Literally every week or so I learn something else that is shocking about this case. I hadn’t appreciated that Dr Marnerides based his pathological findings on Dr Evans’ report- until Martyn pointed this out! I thought I knew most of the important issues but, thanks to you and your guests Chris I now learn this and also statistician Jane Hutton telling us how the CPS told police they didn’t need to continue speaking to her, and in si doing have likely committed a crime, and Steve Watts revealing that Dr Evans said the panel strongly suggested by the NCA to police wasn’t required- and police then actually following his advice. It is all truly shocking.

Thank you both. I find it tragic that Dr Pitman, with all his experience, knowledge and humanity was forced to leave the NHS. Especially as this failing institution is in a dangerous state of decline.

With the Maternity service being in crisis in so many hospitals, how they thought getting rid of you with your knowelege, love, passion, high quality of care, was good for all concerned, is totally unfathomable. Its so sad and wrong what has been done to you. Unforgivable.

Marin states: "The judiciary are unwilling to accept that mistakes can be made."
The situation is actually worse than that. In the face of compeling evidence of innocence and a miscarriage of justice the Court of Appeal will bend over backwards to defend the judicial process and their fellow judges. An innocent person languishing in prison does not seem to concern them one iota. Justice is well down their list of priorities.

What was said at the end of the interview about the parents watching a complete shit show with all the doctors looking up what to do and then realizing that if this has come out in the trial Lucy would be at home now with two kids at home this Christmas This is so sad !!

According to the mother's trial statement she had been told that the triplets were identical. In her Thirlwall statement she said they were monochorionic: "At Liverpool Women’s Hospital I was told that one of the triplets was a little smaller than the other two, and as all three triplets were sharing one placenta, I was given the option of having the smaller triplet's heartbeat stopped to give the two others a better chance of survival. We decided against this and to let things be."

How can Lucy's prosecution team sleep at night ? assuming they're intelligent enough to see the obvious evidence of her innocence. She's clearly not dangerous and should be at least released home on house arrest for Christmas. We seem to have lost both common sense and humanity .

Excellent discussion with Martyn. What a sad loss to the NHS. He is doing good work in speaking out about the travesty of the Lucy Letby case, and he should be proud of that

Dr Martin is always interesting and makes a very good point regarding Evans attitude never having to face any scrutiny of his evidence in previous trials until this one. Thanks Chris.

At Thirlwall the dad said the theatre was like something from a horror film. The mum undergoing her C section said to the anaesthetist that she was hurting and was told by the anaesthetist that she was not hurting.
Brearey said to the parents that Baby O might be better off not pulling through as he had suffered brain damage.
The mother had a subsequent baby at Arrowe Park, the surgeon told her that the C scar from Chester was so bad he had taken it away and thrown it in the bin. All this and more comes from the statements given to Thirlwall by the parents of O,Pand R.
Why wasn't the pathologist fully informed re. the needle, where is page 97 re haemoglobin. It can only be assumed that there was an attempted cover up. I'd love to know more about Dr.B/Vs (baby Noah) role in this fiasco.
Meanwhile we are expected to believe it was all Lucys fault.

Thank you to you both. Martin is an amazing guest. I wonder about Dr Arthurs and how he feels now. Even if his testimony doesn’t really support the prosecution, I’m sure it gave the impression of support.

Really looking forward to this Chris and Martyn. The Manchester meeting was amazing-thanks to both of you- and Jim Thornton and everyone else for doing what you do in exposing this whole case for what it is- a clear miscarriage of justice. Everywhere you look there are major issues- and as you say- it all started-after the consultants targeted Lucy-with the first arrest which was solely as a result of Dr Evans hypotheses.
