For those wondering: by the next day the owners had been found and the pups headed home!

He’s not sad, he’s a hound dog, that’s just what he looks like 😂

Crazy that they have really nice, actually breed-appropriate collars, but no tags on the collars and no chips.

Maya legit has the best animal voice in the game. So glad they found their owners

chatter saying "do they have water" ??? its a damn animal sanctuary with animal experts working there, /s no chatter they didnt think of that! god dang it!

looks like a hunting dog that ran off with his friend.

Maya streaming a blacklight bug hunt tonight around 9pm PST

Maya is such a good girl dude. I admire her so much.

You would think that if someone does let their dog free roam, they would at least have tags on the collars so they can be found if they get lost

10:00..." Who's your mom ??😅😂😄....."

The brown dog is a Black Mouth Curr, he’s a hunting dog as well as the hound dog. I’m guessing they got lost while hunting. I have a Black Mouth Curr he is not a hunting dog but needs lots of attention

Of course the pitbull is the super friendly one

Mostly German short-haired pointer/maybe a little bloodhound mix, methinks. In TX, only people with a pool should own one. They will swim after tennis balls all day. :-)

In Alveus I Trust

My friends that run dogs for bird hunting always had a GPS on them even when they were at home. It's a long haul to train a bird dog. I'd post on the local hunting forum or facebook groups.

I accidentally kidnapped a bunny once. He was appearantly a free roaming rabbit, but he was not even an adult yet, and we have a lot of outdoor cats in the erea and sometimes dogs. I saw a bunbun running around and thought it had to be saved. Still don't agree with the owners to just let him outside without supervision

Where I live, people let their cats free roam. "Outdoor cats" are super common. And it's irritating because these cats are only able to survive because the neighbors set out food for them. These cats are domestic animals who have limited success when hunting (and when they are successful, they harm the local ecosystem), they NEED a consistent food source. There's an outdoor cat that comes by my house frequently and I've had a couple people mistake him for my cat because my family feeds him. And of COURSE he hasn't been neutered. I actually texted his owner once to make sure they weren't worried about him because he spent the night on my porch. I figured that maybe they'd be concerned if he didn't come home for the night. They responded, hours later, with "No it's fine, he does that."

With collars like that those are absolutely hunting dogs
