There's a woman in the town I live in who made a fur coat exclusively made from animals killed on accident. Took her something like 15 years to finish it. Amongst other reasons, she did it to show how ridiculous it is to mass produce such things.

really appreciate you speaking up about the fur industry, i try to avoid it in general but i had no idea how horrible it was. super entertaining and educational video thanks maya :)

@tikayscake2416 3 years ago

The electrocution method to preserve the fur is so gnarly for no reason, I didn’t expect it to be that bad

Thanks for spreading awareness with Alveus

Dior and Louis Vuitton are two huge brands that still use fur. Thankfully, the Kering group (who owns gucci and saint laurent) has recently stopped using fur and replaced it with faux. It was an awesome win and proof that change is possible. Keep your voices loud.

15 - 40 foxes is insane... The fashion industry is starting to gradually move away from animal fur but the use of replacements (artificial, natural alternatives) is still vastly low in the grand scheme of things.

Huge respect to you for mentioning this after the wholesome show of fox snow vibes, you're doing amazing work thank you

I recently had to explain to someone that just because animals were killed for their fur thousands of years ago, that does not mean it's rational to be doing it today. Not only were there billions of less people on the earth, it was also done completely out of necessity. Now it's done in the most inhumane ways possible, and there are better alternatives out there for anything you could possibly want that fur for.

I am glad that the foxes actually enjoy it, unlike the geese pool party

@phe.mp3 3 years ago

I knew that buying fur is terrible, but I didn’t realize just how horrific the industry is. Thanks so much—I came for cute foxes and I left learning a lot.

how do you not cry 24/7 seeing all of these babies have fun i literally cry for no reason at every video help

40 foxes for one coat is just insanity. If people really knew how awful and unnecessary it is they probably wouldn't buy it. Keep spreading awareness :D

Foxes are friends, not coats.

It was a fun video for the most part but wow the information about the fur trade was really sobering. Thanks for informing us about that and while I've always disapproved of fur coats I will look at them in an even worse light now. The way the foxes are killed is horrible.

Truly heartbreaking to hear some of the knowledge dropped at the end of this, but good on you and Alveus for making this more well known

@Dee_Snuts27 3 years ago

the footage of those poor foxes in cages and in absolutely terrible conditions made me cry... I didn't know it was that bad. those poor babies
