So this was an interesting class - a Cmin triad hidden inside an Amin Blues context? Cool.
Of course what many guitar players seem to get boxed into are these "keys" they have made up.
I like to simplify things so I can escape the boxes...Amin is usually a C Major umbrella key really with all of its Scale Tone Chords and scales.
But in this case if you consider theres a Cmin triad inside this blues thing, and work up and down the neck we hear that an Eb maj and F maj triad are also functional. Which leads to the realisation that the true parent major key is Bb. And that apparent Amin thing is really the vii min (half dim) chord. So we can use that by playing the 5 note Locrian Minor Pentatonic in A: A-C-D-Eb-G-A - which of course as you point out is just the Amin Blues scale with the usual E removed.
Good knowledge to have - thanks for sharing!
❤❤❤🎉
