My two favourite lesbians

37:28 “I’m almost impressed she hasn’t said she’s in love with her yet” - Danky, seconds before an entire song about how she loves her

collab of the century

Genuine respect to danky for reacting to this with an actual lesbian person instead of just watching it and responding on his own. I feel like that’s important to do in this context.

dankyjabo is straight but he has the heart of a normal person ❤

Genuinely started crying after seeing this goated collab

havent finished yet but the jesse song is the best peice of music i have listened to in centuries since Beethoven

AJ EVEN MADE YOU A SONG!!! This is a monumental moment in queer history

AJ THE SCIENCE GAYY??? IN A DANKYJABO VIDEO??? I must be dreaming.

0:14 AJ!!! I am friends with her mother-in-law!! I had to pause the video and call her because I was excited to see someone familiar on this channel. ❤

im only thirteen minutes in but the chemistry (NOT ROMANTIC) between you two is insane, like you bounce off each-other's jokes so well, so much better than a lot of commentary colabs i've seen in the past. I would love to see you guys colab more in the future

1:00 i love her already. this is so funny

blades a drag queen btw not trans. shes a drag queen, willow (tall one) is nb, and one of saira's moms is trans (thats who the trans va voiced)

The problem with Blade is that her whole thing is that she, a drag queen, really wants a labrys-- a weapon that represents lesbianism and can only be summoned by a lesbian from their sacred pussy or whatever-- and she cannot procure one herself, so she tricks a "real" lesbian and tries to STEAL it, only to be killed by the same weapon. The fact that the labrys is used as TERF symbol turns this whole sequence into something that looks like a very overt anti-trans political comic. It's easy to see why a lot of people are viewing that as a beat-you-over-the-head transphobic message.

Personally, I strongly believe that they genuinely did this on accident, because writing in a transphobic allegory would require the writers to pull off or understand allegory. I think that the creators truly intended to be really woke with this and genuinely did not see that they were doing something analagous to like, accidentally making your business logo a big swastika. If it was any other piece of media I'd never defend their intentions but I truly think that the creators of this thing are so incapable of pulling off an actual message that I don't think they'd be ABLE to write a legible anti-trans metaphor if they wanted to. Based on their inability to write any themes or messages of any other kind throughout this film.

Some trans people I know irl found the stuff with Blade to be uncomfortable for them, and interpreted it as mean-spirited, taking what seems like a very obvious and overt bigoted message at face value. And that's super understandable because if it was intentional, it's not subtle.

The creators have said they were trying to reclaim the labrys symbol. I think they just did a really bad job of this and wound up just animating a hate crime on accident.

1:20 i subscribed to her immediately after seeing this

i love how much Jesse is queening out with her 😭 my fav lesbians 🧡🤍🩷

I genuinely have no one to talk to about this collab moment they would not understand

my least favorite part of this movie is that saira leaving kiki to die on that planet just because she won’t get back with her is treated like a “you go girl” moment? like yeah, kiki sucks, but she’s right, she doesn’t owe you anything. it’s more complicated than the movie makes it. imo, i would have been happy if the movie ended with saira realizing her self worth but still taking kiki home because that’s the kind of person she wants to be

HOLY PEAK COLLABBB

A collab I didn’t even know I needed
