The Last of Us Part 2 - Abby Kills Joel Scene

► The Last of Us Part II is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. Set five years after the events of The Last of Us (2013), players enter the role of 19-year-old Ellie, who comes into conflict with a mysterious cult in a post-apocalyptic United States. The game contains survival horror elements and is played from the third-person perspective. Players can use firearms, improvised weapons, and stealth to defend against enemies and cannibalistic creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus.

Sometimes the hero can become the villain in someone else’s story

Joel's heartbreaking death aside, he took that shotgun blast and tourniquet like a champ, both of those hurt a lot, so even when facing absolute death, Joel is still a badass.

"I never want to play as her again"

wow you're in for a treat.

I cried like a little bitch during this scene, I had to get up and stop playing because I was so upset 😭

Fun Fact: When Joel was bleeding on the ground, he was supposed to mouth the word "Sarah" as he started to die, but the game devs removed it because they thought it was too depressing.

Tbh: HIS ENTIRE DEATH WAS TOO DAMN DEPRESSING!!!

As far as video games go this was the most difficult and emotional thing I've ever experienced and honestly the game as a whole

Ah bless Alyska and her big headphones, she literally started crying as soon as Joel's knee was blown off 😭

This is still one of the saddest deaths i've seen in video game history. This one hit me in the heart. The game is so realistic it makes you feel like you're there with them experiencing every second of this brutality. When she ended Joel with that last blow to the head and all you see is Ellie sobbing while she's on the floor watching Joel die in front of her eyes fucking made me cry, like that was insane to me. Very intense moment. Im sad Joel died, but one thing i can say is that this game makes you FEEL something so deeply. Its dark and unforgiving. This game was so dark, but it is a masterpiece and it shows you the reality of things and not everything is a happy ending. We'll be fine guys...A remake for the first game is coming so we get to play as joel again in next gen graphics! 🔥🙏🏼

I played this game the day it came out, without knowing anything about it besides watching a few trailers. I was 13 and fell in love with the world, the characters, and the story. These characters impacted me in a way that felt real. All the motivations and emotions felt so genuine. I’’d played the game about 8 times before part 2 released so I’ve felt very attached to Joel and really felt his character’s care and need to protect towards Ellie. Seeing him go like that really fucked me up. I felt like I lost a father figure. All I could think about was all the beautiful landscapes we’d ventured and all the brutal fights we’ve experienced trying to save the world and in the end, just trying to protect Ellie.

The saddest part is Ellie going "fucking get up". It's like the old days, when she was younger, and most times, he got up. They always found a way out.

Not this time, though. Even Ellie knew it, and for the first time ever she pleaded the 'bad guy' to "please stop".
