A great video to listen to while I mow my yard!  Thank you! 😁🤘

Couldn’t pay me enough gil to keep me away from watching this ⚔️

1:30:00 you spoony bard IS the line, he is calling him obsessive and lovesick in both versions, which is the definition of SPOONY

As someone who replays FF4 every year in various iterations, it’s amazing this relatively simplistic game proved too difficult for the audience in the US back then. It really was ahead of its time, but it also shows how far we’ve come in terms of how players from all regions handle difficult games. Now, players from the East and West can’t get enough of games that are considered punishing or obtuse. Love it.

I literally couldn’t stop watching.

1:25:53 he’s also a jojo fan, so foreign music would be on his mind nearly weekly, not fully related, but just a fun fact

You deserve so many more subscribers. It's crazy, the amount of work you put into researching all of this and writing it all up.

Amazing, amazing work.

Here...we... go!

I can't imagine the amount of work put into making this whole video, but I loved every second of this. Thank you for all your hard work on this. There was so much in this I will have to watch the whole thing again!

4:57:29 you can SEE in the hair where Akira Toriyama or his editor got a glance at this manga strip and I love it so freaking much

Wrapping up now.  I wish I could watch this for the first time again.  Excellent video - thank you.

It's hard to overstate the impact Final Fantasy IV had on the history of gaming. It was the moment in which the world saw that the video game could actually be a real art form. While it wasn't the first game to have a story, it was the first to put so many things together in what actually could be called a work of art. The ATB system simulated real-time combat. Enemies didn't wait for your input. It had a story that made you think about redemption. What do you do when you do something wrong? Is redemption possible? Yes it is, but it is not given freely. Numerous characters did something wrong and then redeemed themselves later. It had a great soundtrack composed by Uematsu. Put all these things together, and you realize it really WAS a work of art.

35:38 it is here square develops a tendency; thinking of the future without properly drying the cement on the present bricks they just laid

The guy crouching in the soundtrack photo, definitely the "hard 90s look"

Oh a little video on one of my favorite eras of Final Fantasy. * checks run time*
