Felling 2 Trees: Systematic Canopy Pruning to Protect Understory Trees | Stihl MS 881, Echo CS 7310SX, MS 261

Welcome back to the Is_Woko channel.

In this video, we document the precision removal of 2 trees under strict low-impact site requirements. Directly beneath these trees grew several valuable younger trees and cultivated crops that the landowner requested us to preserve with zero collateral damage. To execute this surgical operation, our crew deployed three chainsaws: the heavy-duty Stihl MS 881, the versatile Echo CS 7310SX, and the agile Stihl MS 261.

Here is the operational breakdown:

1. Landowner Request (Strict Understory Tree Protection):
The property owner explicitly requested that ground damage to the underlying vegetation be kept to an absolute minimum. Dropping full-canopy trees was completely out of the question, as heavy spreading limbs would have flattened the young standing trees beneath.

2. Systematic Canopy Reduction (Stihl MS 261 & Echo CS 7310SX):
The only safe solution was to strip the trees down to bare trunks. Working aloft with the nimble Stihl MS 261 and the Echo CS 7310SX, our climber systematically cut and controlled each branch piece by piece. Relieving the upper crown eliminated dangerous swing radius and guaranteed a safe perimeter for the lower growth.

3. Precision Trunk Felling (Stihl MS 881):
With the canopies dismantled and narrow drop corridors secured, our ground crew brought in the powerhouse Stihl MS 881. Accurate face cuts and controlled hinge wood guided both stripped stems directly into the clear gap without touching the surrounding trees.

Watch the raw footage of our crew's patience, precision rigging, and respect for the landowner's property from start to finish. Thank you for watching and supporting our channel!

The trees we fell are legally purchased from local farmers for industrial use and are not sourced from protected forests. These premium logs are bound for Jepara, Central Java, where they will be transformed into luxury solid wood furniture, massive live-edge tables, and world-renowned intricate carvings.
