A little update since this reaction was filmed:  Play Your Games has officially grown on me!

"PLAY YOUR GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMES!!!!  PLAY YOUR GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMES!!!!  DANCE IN FLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMES!!!!"

SO GOOD! XD

This song is still the better of the two though.

I love how you can see how much this guy loves this song. The song is incredible.

10/10 no notes. A masterpiece of modern rock music.

His voice is on point!! And Jake guitar solo 👏🏻 awesome

The run he goes on at the end is POWER!!!!! Anyone who has ever loved can look at me and tell that I love you

"This might have been one of the best songs they've ever written."  AGREED!  In fact, I submit that it's one of those songs that you can place in the box that's labeled "Some of the best songs ever written."  It's that freakin' good! 👍

I'm obsessed with this song rn. It is absolutely amazing. 🔥🔥🔥

This song reminded me of a girl I truly loved during my teenage years, about 20 years ago. She passed away recently, and after all this time, I find myself missing her.

A masterpiece.

Wow Im surprised, to me this is an 80's power ballad, but with their own unique style

Heat above will always be my fave track but this is a very close 2nd.. Epic song

Timeless
This song will be great 60 years from now
Well done boys

Josh said he thought it was the best song he’d ever written

Goosebumps everywhere. Definitely more Gardens gate esc and I'm here for it 1000%.

It’s their best song to date.  I can’t find one thing that I dislike about it.  It’s an absolute masterpiece.

This performance is incredible. Possibly the best song I’ve heard in 20 years!

This is definitely solid GVF. May be the best song ever. I feel that Starcatcher is an example of exploration and music development.   I had the same problem in the beginning with StarCatcher as you but was able to hear some new growth with music techniques. Even the Beatles, Stones, LZ etc have songs that are not as well liked. Also Starcatcher sounds like it was a rushed album, released too close to TBAGG. As fans we need to not push the musical process or demand they tour so much. I'm sure the record company, manager and producers were also pushing to make up for perceived time lost due to COVID. I think stepping away from each other and  expanding their life experiences helped them focus together on this new album.

What a masterpiece

They performed this song live for the first time last night in Chicago  at the Metro.  They were one of the Lollapalooza after shows.  There are some great quality videos from that show posted on YT.  Josh sounded great.  Tear It Down is a real banger from the new album which hasn't been released as a single yet.  They did play it at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC a couple of months ago.
