While yes, crocs and gators cannot mate, that doesn’t mean some don’t try. When I worked at Gatorland in Florida, our main marsh had many alligators and three Nile crocodiles, and one of our female gators, Vega, took a liking to the male Nile crocodile, Lyle, who was over three times her size.
She would nuzzle his face, climb on his head to sunbathe, and would ride on his back as he swam through the marsh.
He couldve easily killed and eaten her if it annoyed him (he ate other gators before) but he didn’t seem to mind her, though they’ve never been seen attempting to actually mate.

Also yes, Africa is NOT a country and does indeed have variable climates! Including coldness and snow. Glad CasGeo mentioned it lol. And unfortunately I have been asked by foreigners if I "grew up in next to lions in a hut". Sure, huts exist but why is it so difficult for people to conceive that houses and cities exist in Africa too??? Also, most people only see lions or the like in zoos or national parks rather than in their backyard...

Camels can swim for a couple hours but they all would have drowned if they got left off the arc. found out though if there were seals in that thing they just boosted a ride for nothing, they can go months without touching dry land. Northern elephant seals (yeah apparently we get these things in Cali) specifically can go +8 months without making landfall, looks like they're trying to become a new type of whale.
