maybe instead of bashing a book you could write a better one.

In another reality, Norman Boutin was born in Japan and became a filmmaker who would turn his story into the world's most insane magical girl anime.

“This book isn’t a good book, nor is it an awful book. This book is one of the things that reminds me of the infinite mercy of God, because anything less than infinite mercy would’ve incinerated every copy before it was unleashed on an unsuspecting public.”

- an actual review of Empress Theresa

This book legit sounds like it was written by a child.

"Humans need food, and food comes from plants! Plants need sun and water to grow, so why don't we make it sunny and rainy everywhere all the time?"

You can't tell me this wasn't the thought process of a five-year-old who just learned how plants work.

"She raises the sea level by four feet" oh so millions of people are dead

"She rains down gold" so gold is now worthless then

"She creates permanent daylight" actual apocalypse oh my god

Empress Theresa is basically that Twilight Zone episode where a child has limitless, godlike powers, and everyone is afraid of him, and their crops are failing because he controls the weather, and he turns his father into a Jack in the Box in a fit of anger, except the character Theresa is much more unlikable

This book singlehandedly refutes the "ai will replace writers" thing because a machine could never, NEVER, come up with something this dumb and delusional

I feel like the concept of an eldritch alien giving a selfish and petty teenage girl god-powers, her using said god powers to take control of the government because everyone is just too afraid to stop her, would make a good horror novel. Especially if the pov character is someone close to Theresa and is watching in abject horror as the world around them morphs and bends unnaturally so it could fit her image.

This Theresa girl sounds like a badly written SCP.

>Main character is a teenager with godlike powers, to the point of not being relatable to the average reader.
>They are thrown into a situation where they will affect the entire world and its political order.
>Said main character becomes widely beloved as a quasi or outright religious figure.
>Main character's powers lead to huge repercussions to the world around them, might or might not have dire consequences.
>Said repercussions include catastrophic changes to their planet's environment
>Story tackles politics, leadership, religion, the environment and the political implications of controlling rare valuable resources.
>Specific reference/parallel to conflict in the middle east and oil supply.
>Weird horny nonsense.
>Constant references to scientific ideas and principles, might or might not be accurate.
>Main character is attacked with an atomic weapon.
>Main character becomes mutilated/crippled due to a plot against them, isn't affected thanks to their powers.

This might legitimately just be Dune if it was written by an insane person.

No violence is crazy when theres literally soldiers with guns on the book cover

It could have been an insane horror book tbh. A teenage girl is infused with power by an alien mastermind and decides to use said power to "do good", following the alien mastermind's directions, only to realize that her powers are killing her and the aliens are using her to further their own agenda... Wait, shit, that's just Madoka Magica.

16:21 Somebody rewrote the story with the lawyer as the protagonist and Teresa as a dictator, and the woman prevents Teresa from escaping the law by boarding the boat Teresa is on-causing it to break down.

Fun fact: The writer of this abomination is soo stubborn that he kept arguing with many people about his book in Amazon, and they reached the comments forum limit (10.000 iirc)

This book, plus his various strange essays on Joan of Arc and her execution, make me think Norman had some kind of romantic Joan of Arc fascination when he was younger, was too sheltered to come to terms with it properly, and over the course of several decades just mutated her into a god-like modern day Mary-Sue oc that had so much control over the world that nobody could ever hurt her again. Kinda sad really.

This book actually makes Sonichu comics look profound... like WTF

This feels like a self insert book but he didn't want to make it obvious

She's God fearing! That's why she changes God's universe on a whim with no question of it thats part of God's will!

“Minecraft has a better grasp on geology than this book” is incredible

It’s funny how he calls his critics blasphemous, and then proceeds to make a character who has all the abilities only god is supposed to have😂
