Tout Le Monde En Parle | France 2 | 10/18/2003
Thierry Ardisson welcomes Tariq Ramadam, professor of philosophy at the Collège de Genève and of Islamology at the University of Fribourg, author of numerous books on Islam, and a lecturer. Thierry Ardisson asks him to discuss the influence of his speeches and writings on young Muslims and to expand on his positions on the wearing of the veil, Islam in France, and the situation in Iraq and Palestine.
Thierry Ardisson asks him to address the accusations made against him and the intellectual legacy of his grandfather, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. He also discusses the religious disagreements with his brother Hani. Then Thierry Ardisson welcomes Claude Askolovitch, a journalist at Nouvel Observateur, to his response to Tariq Ramadam's positions, particularly his comments on the "new community intellectuals."
