Why I'm Going Back To Self Publishing

Body Refinement in a Beast Tamer's World is doing exceptionally well! We just hit 2k reviews on Amazon with 4.8 stars.
And it's completely self published.

So why have I gone back to self publishing after several years and so many successful series with traditional publishers? Publishers, I might add, that I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with.

Well the answer is nuanced, like most things surrounding publishing.

Book 3 of BRiaBTW just dropped, you can find the full series here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GNC8TX9X

So happy you’re posting videos again. We missed you Seth!

I’m committed to self publishing, signing with a publisher doesn’t seem to make any business sense to me.

Are you gonna continue the Dreamer’s throne series btw?

I appreciate the advice! I’m hoping to put it to good use when it comes to promoting the release of my own series.

Thank you for the information

Thanks for the interesting and informative video. I can't imagine writing more than one book a year, although I do have an ongoing book on Royal Road. No firm dreams of it ever being published professionally, however.

Thanks for the info love your books. I haven't gotten into this book yet, but I will. If I ever finish my first book and get the chance, I would do a hybrid situation traditional publishing while learning how to self publish therefore you always got options.

I joined the Blackstone family recently with my first (traditionally published) novel coming out next summer. (I've previously self-published 8 other novels) Funny enough, I've put my thriller projects aside, and I'm working on a LitRPG right now. Not sure if Blackstone will be interested in it or not. Regardless, GREAT video, and solid information. Looking forward to crossing paths one day. Cheers. - David

I loved book 1 so much that I read 2 and 3 over a period of 3 days 🤣

I have enjoyed Body Refinement. Book 3 had some of the internal Body refinement world building that I think had sorely been missing from books 1 and 2.

So.... I know you've have many charactors under your belt.... However, everytime I watch something you do I always see Thorn. :) He is dear to my and my husband's heart. I read all the first two series and then pulled my husband to the audio versions. I did read Battlemage Farmer. Loved that series.. Thought the ending was rushed but that could just be me. :)
Thanks for all the worlds I get to visit and the people and beasts I fall in love with. Stay true to yourself Seth. You are an amazing author.

Your books are always a banger and they are all different from each other. I am waiting on the Audible release of Body refinement 3. Please need more Iron Tyrant.

I'd love to know what you did to market your new series! Was it just through your current email list and readthrough from your fans? Or did you have specific systems or things that you did to reach 2k+ reviews? (Which is amazing! Congrats!)

Aye ! I’ll be at DragonCon. I hope to see you there ! I’m writing my own fantasy comic series. If I don’t see you I hope you enjoy the convention !

Enjoying body refinement! Super fun.. Also so happy you’re back to self publishing. Also how did you hit 2k reviews?!?!? Do you have a narc team that leaves most of those reviews?

Question. How do you find the trends before they get massive and popular? What's your secret?

Body Refinement has been so freaking good! I have loved every second of reading this series, and am so excited to see where it goes.

Is Soul Caller or Dreamers Throne in the pipeline for this year? Looking forward to the next installments.
