When I was a young child in the 60s, my mother decided to have a clear-out of my clothes and toys. I never had a Teddy Bear but I did have a Panda Bear that I treated as equivalent. My mother threw it out and I was distraught. In an effort to console me, she knitted me a new Panda Bear. Despite her extraordinary effort to make amends, I still missed by original Panda. So yes, be careful with those toys!
