COME ON AND SLAM AND WELCOME TO THE LAMB

17:21 The fear of God entering your eyes just for them to reveal they just barely failed to get Exodia and surrender.

I don’t know why, but I love Guardian Sphinx. Always feels like it’s on the cusp of being competitively viable too.
Also Summoner of Illusions is sick. It’s over shadowed by metamorphosis, but it’s honestly underplayed and I’m glad you’re showcasing it here.
PGD once again showing how amazing yet underrated of a pack it was.

having your life points reduced to zero by attacking a set monster is quite possibly the worst way to lose in yugioh

In goat format SP = serpent phase

Kuhb, as someone who spent a year trying to make Sphinx work and giving up on it, this decklist looks so cool. I am likely going to try this. Thanks so much for sharing it!

These nostalgic yugioh duels are more entertaining than anything since than duels with modern cards.

In my youth I played Guardian Sphinx in several builds so I was very surprised that it doesn’t seem to see play in GOAT.
This deck now is very wholesome for me

Follow-up: I regret to say that, after testing several matches, this build is definitely not working for me. I'm experiencing the same glass-cannon problem with Sphinx that I experienced when I tested with him a lot before, even with the Stray Lambs setup. If you manage to draw Sphinx with Stray Lambs, but don't draw the Spell Shield, then Sphinx is the easiest NoC/Raigeki Break/etc. bait, and you go the harshest -1 you ever go. Bricking's also a real problem, with many times drawing a bunch of token generators and/or Soul Exchanges with nothing to use them with. Drawing Phoenix is also the worst feeling in the world (which, I have to say, happened early-game in almost every match I tested - which is just horrid luck, but certainly didn't help).
The search for Sphinx Control continues, I suppose. :(

I would definetely bring 3rd meta and creature swap since you have 5 token card in deck.

Btw, Levinua always bring spicy cards and innovation. I respect that.

respect to Robbin Goblin for being a chill duelist
