It's so like them. A gentle heart behind tomboyish façade against natural cats' pragmatism and contempt for small animals' lives.

I love the fact that Okayu has the exact same ratio male/female pokemon with Subaru but in reverse. It's like the perfect couple. . .

"NOOO! JUSTIN!"
Why I love this moment so much

"Your Shinx doesn't have Intimidate?"

No, but he does have Rivalry, and that's why he hit like a truck. Okayu didn't see that coming.

Okayu doesn't have time to get friendly, she's on that sigma grindset

"vivi is a gentle soul, so he was crying as he used bite"

The Pokemon series with Okayu as the protagonist would have been an age-restricted late night show.

Poor Subaru, she really didn't stand a chance. RIP Justin

So by Okayu acting like Paul and Subaru acting like Ash, that means we get to see Subaru get her revenge on Okayu later on 👀

Yo. Okayu really is a villain 😂😂

“It’s time to use some power to force you into submission.”

I can’t right now 😂😂

From what I learned in this Battle Okayu is Paul and Subaru is Ash in handling pokemons

So this is the evil Okayu I heard so much about….

Okayu: "Eugenics? Never heard of him."

1:27 watching this in 2025: nnnnNNN VIVI!!!

To win a war one must use other as meat shield - The Art of Bully Catto

Back then whenever I see Okayu she has that "trickster" vibe. But it seems back then and even until now she's living up with it. It's really great most especially when Okayu is trolling Subaru. 😆😆😆😆

One of the things I like about Subaru is that she's a normie. She has a unique perspective on games and anime and such because she never really played games or watched anime before Hololive.

Pokémon has been around so long that long-time fans have trained dozens of teams and have a harder time getting attached to the individual team members. Subaru is relatively new to the series so each Pokémon is fresh and exciting and she's much more caring about the individual Pokémon rather than just looking at the stats. That's one of the reasons why Subaru is one of my favorite Hololive members to watch.

Never related so much to Subaru going online in Pokémon.

Me: “this is my cool Pokémon named Dave, let’s have a battle!”

People online: “This is my EV trained, meta nature and IV stats, grinded, meta-based, unnamed, Pokémon, made by abusing the stats of a children’s game.”

I guess, in the words of Kirito: "You were an adequate meat shield, and no one can ever take that away from you"

Subaru: "You have a selection process?!"
