Subaru is the trainer that Nintendo thought how the game should be played, truly a protagonist

This is the perfect representation between someone who just got into Pokémon and someone who's been playing competitively for years.

Subaru: A true anime / manga heroine with struggles, going thru the pain of loss to achieve personal growth, character development and to become stronger with the power of friendship at her side

Okayu: Man, I wish Pokémon had a mass release option, releasing Pokemon one by one is so time consuming, they are just taking space in the boxes

The funniest thing about Okayu is she's still nice to Subaru about everything "we don't have to trade". The contrast between Subaru and Okayu is already funny, but the second layer of contrast between Okayu, who beats up tons of Combee to get the one that's more "useful" and giving away her breeding "leftovers" to kindly respecting that Subaru doesn't want to let go of any of her precious Pokémon is hilarious to me. It'd be like if Paul in the Pokémon anime released Chimchar and then when he sees Ash take him, he's like "oh cool good luck with him".

I'm loving this series, it's turning into some kind of sitcom with these two characters at two opposing extremes.
