I think something that is rarely noted but interesting in my opinion is how this story treats the women. They have names, complex emotions, are allowed to have both nice and unflattering traits and descriptions about them. Beatrice gets to be both a girl in love and a woman fed up with her fiance fussing over his dogs. The lady on the train gets to be just a mother and worker without being sexualised at all, yet she still gets just enough character to imagine her fully as this dutiful no-nonsense service worker just trying to keep everything running and her kids fed. Even the "working girls" get a little bit of flavor and character to them, instead of just being tools to write something raunchy. In many westerns, women are footnotes at best or at worst expendable, exchangeable elements to add some drama to a story. They get called wenches, whores, witches, girls or more derogatory things. I like that in this story, they get some realistic agency and character. Of course the average woman in a western isn't gonna girlboss her way through some thugs, but they don't need to in order to be compelling, interesting characters.

0:10 you didn’t say Howdy
My immersion is ruined 😭

i respect your commitment to the voice acting, its fun and immersive. not everyone has the guts to scream into a mic. keep up the good work

I'm more of a listener than a watcher, so when I heard TB mentioned early in the vid, I thought of Arthur Morgan. Imagine my surprise when I see that you're playing RDR2 😂😂

WAKE UP HONEY, THE GOAT POSTED

My king has returned

Same guy who wrote and directed Bone Tomahawk

Nah Oswald got what he deserved at the end, he pissed me the hell off tackling dicky, if he didn’t TW and the deputy’s could have got their guns amidst the chaos and they definitely would’ve had less casualties than what he did and his. BROTHER WOULD STILL BE ALIVE!
It was obvious they wouldn’t have let the innocent people go anyway. I really feel for Dicky too i understand the thought and feeling of nobody even knowing you existed when you die or not leaving any sort of mark, as someone who knows this will happen to me. I really wanted Dicky to make it out of this even if he had to shoot TW which definitely woulda been in self defense because they committed no crime at all to the people or town. There is NOTHING WRONG with wanted to keep living until you find your meaning or fill that void in your heart.

On a platform full of algorithmic slop, shocked expression thumbnails and literal pron I love creators like you that pop out of the cracks and delivers a wholesome set of stories that definitely don't make my stomach turn when I hear their totally PG content. I actually went and read They All Died Screaming after your review and man I feel I need to bleach my soul. Onto the next book of Gone to see the Riverman. ❤

Pug missed a chance to sit down and say "Howdy ya'll".

37:20 Toddler man, seems Quinlan is running with Judge Holden

I struggle to understand why the townspeople didnt go home and get their guns instead of their valuables? Its a handful of men not an army, half a town armed to the teeth could certainly deal with them

Well I know what my next 2 hours will look like

Pugsr with the sick fit while sitting on the throne 👌

You say that we make your life worth living, but you are the one who brings the light in all of these dark tales. Those of us who have been with you from the start now look forward to Wednesdays simply because we know a new video will be dropping from our favorite horror break down artist. That is powerful and you should be proud of what you have accomplished so far. I can't wait to celebrate along with the rest of the Puggy Crew when you hit 1 million and beyond. So happy to be here for the journey, and can't wait to see where you take us next! <3

damn. im not one to comment on YouTube but this was really good. both the story itself, and the storytelling. well done

Highly recommend Bone Tomahawk, if I'm correct it's by the same person who wrote this. It has one of the most painful kills in a movie I've ever seen. 😬

Couldnt take it very seriously after literally everyone was taken hostage immediately.

Pugsr breaking it down is my favorite part of these videos
