Hello you beauties. Watch the full episode with Erica - https://youtu.be/0s1KWdTB3NM

The dissolution of tight knit family communities has ruined the raising of children.

I worked in childcare. It's modern day orphanage. It's sick.

It was my personal goal to never send my children to daycare. When my wife first got pregnant we had a discussion and agreed that she wouldn’t work anymore so she could care for the children because we both didn’t believe in daycare. Have things been tougher on a single income, yes. But you figure it out and adapt. But the family dynamic we have with both of our children Is great and my kids are emotionally sound.

Just last night, I read an account by Dr. Nancy McWilliams of a friend of hers who had 12 kids during the great depression. The woman was mentally healthy & so was her husband. Despite their poverty, all 12 of the kids turned out well. One of the biggest myths we are taught is that our kids are "deprived" (I hate that word in this context) if they don't have ski club, surfing lessons, country clubs, or private schools growing up. When you hear young women talk about what they "need to afford" before they feel they are "ready" to have kids, it's embarrassing how spoiled and out of touch they are. Kids need love, physical safety, and mature parents to turn out well; not much else. All the superficial trinkets you give them won't make up for deficits in those things.

I worked in a “childcare” center before I had my own children.  It was awful for both the children and the caregivers.  If parents were more aware to the reality of their children’s day to day in institutionalized facilities, we’d have a lot more parents staying home with their children.  I’m grateful I had the insight and my children never went to those nasty places.

Like Gomez Adams from the old Addams Family, "Why have kids if you cant spend time with them?"

Worded in daycares and couldn’t agree more. Like, babys 6 months old?? It’s cruel, I’ve been in this place, having 5 different babies and trying to calm and take care of them, it’s so so hard, cause you just can’t, after that I saw that I never wanted to put my kids in a situation like that.
I belive children after 1 to 2 year old can have some great moments in daycare, they actually have fun playing, even though is not the ideal situation, but earlier than that is really not good

The UK tax system makes it impossible for 1 parent to work and 1 to stay at home. If they just treated us fairly and didn't penalise families I earn more than enough to fund the family.

My mother brought us to daycare once. I never forgot it. It was the most traumatizing experience of my childhood. My siblings had the same experience.

But we were fortunate to have the mother that we had. Even though we needed money, we needed our mother more. Once she heard our stories and saw the tears in our eyes, she immediately quit her job and took us out of daycare.

We lived in public housing on food stamps for a good year or two. Luckily, our father was able to eventually make enough money to move us to a nice town.

I tell people that my parents were poor when we were little. But my siblings and I were rich. We had everything we needed. But most of all we had love.

All four of us have grown up to be very successful. And happy adults. I can only imagine how different we would have turned out.If we had stayed in daycare.

Thank god for our mother 🎉❤❤❤

Small at-home daycares of less than 4 kids that attempt to duplicate the “home & mom” experience would be the 4th best choice.

My wife and I were both  daycare/latch key kids after age 6 or 7.   Until then we spent most of our time with our  grandparents because our parents were working.     My wife and I have 2 children that we decided to home school.     We spend all our time with our family.      Best decision ever.     It’s not easy, however definitely worth it.

I stayed at home and homeschooled!! I'm happy to say my children didn't spend one day in day care or public schooling.

I get a sinking feeling in my stomach when I drop my daughter off at daycare everyday, she's 3. I am going to try and make arrangements or make another career where I can spend more time with her.

I know multiple people who stay home and still sent their children (under 3) to daycare. The normalization of sending 6-12 week old infants to daycare for 40 hrs per week is insane. I understand some parents have no family and single parenthood requires extra childcare support. But always try to have a family member help first!

I feel like I’m failing my kids at times. Too angry or tired. But the eldest went to preschool at 4. And my toddlers are waiting till 3.5 yo. They are so little and vulnerable. This video made me proud I stayed at home

This is basically what Plato said where the government will own the children in classify them based on skills to do with them as they wish

This is why I work so hard and my girlfriend stays home with our son. The struggle financially for me is worth it. Our son is 9 months and cries for nothing. Happy as can be. Learning well and thriving, I believe it’s because he’s with his mother 24/7

Proud stay home mom!

I am so glad my mother stayed home.
