Bro....BLOW YOUR NOSE...LOL...Great job!

I just completed a Mt. Whitney summit yesterday so it was fun to watch your video and remember those sections of the trail I had just slogged through!  We camped at Trail Camp, summited the next morning and then all the way back down. You were up and down that mountain in less time than it took us to get to the top!! Very impressive!!  I watched several of your other videos over the past few months, and thank you for the inspiration and insights that helped me get ready, and successfully summit the highest mountain in the lower 48!

Beautiful video!

I wonder if I'm the only one who has noticed an odd coincidence about Whitney.  If that mountain were just a tiny bit higher, it would be exactly half as high as Everest.  Remembering how utterly blitzed I was on Whitney convinced me I was not meant for the Himalayas!

Wonderful views and filming ! Nice to see the great western divide to the west with Sawtooth Peak and Mt Kaweah in the background. I've never hiked Mt Whitney but enjoyed the view of it from the western divide many years ago !

Spektaculah walkies... 🥇
Thanks for sharing w/ us... 👋😊

I’m doing this on Sep 13. Where is the last water source going up?

Heck yass John! Always sending it!

Videos calm me down and help me unwind a lot, than you John.

How do you get all these permits!

Three weeks ago I nabbed a last minute, Monday permit for Whitney, it was the sunniest of my past summits. Thanks for the tip on summiting Discovery Pinnacle, I almost summited Mount Muir on the way down, but the last 30-50 feet was a little bit more than I wanted to tackle with trail runners and no partner.   I don't recall ice at the cables, and water was flowing the most I have seen from the springs out of the lower section of 99 switchbacks at 3PM.  The toughest part was the 5 hour drive back to San Diego after 10 hours on the trails.  Tip for anyone looking for a Whitney permit, I was discouraged year after year of not getting any dates on the lottery. Now I just look for open Monday-Thursdays, and they always seem to become available within a few days.  I know there's also paid websites that will give you notifications as well.  Thanks again for sharing, I'm looking forward to be back in the Sierras in two weeks.

27 😳 You are the man! 😎👍

Are you using your phone to film the hike?

Your visuals are awesome and the sounds of the gravel beneath your feet,  birds and water rushing are really beautiful.  Impressive timing the views are pure happiness ~ thank you.  🌲

3^3 summits. Nice number, rad.

Nice one! I just did it a couple weeks ago. Weather looked pretty similar. My 3rd summit, hopefully more in the future :)

Why on a holiday there is no one on the trail?  Where do all these permits go???

You sir, are a beast! Nice work.

Nice!!  27th summit!!  Congrats, brother.
I'm barely behind you on summit count....25 more and we're tied!

I am not one to balk at much but you sir are built differently.  Savory smoothie from a Katadyn bottle, I can’t compute. Haha

Trail side meadow was booming with flowers in July, back drop of the snow field with the melt off emerging from under it.  Beautiful spot for first/early light.

Curious, how does a permit fall into ones lap?  Would love to have that happen.
