Really awesome first run, man! The truck looks fantastic with that Trans Am paint and the suspension work you did really shows once you hit the backyard track. Love how you break everything down — batteries, toe adjustments, temps, all of it. Watching you drive short course the way it’s meant to be driven is always a blast. Great video and great vibes as always!

About the wheel nut. The plastic in there is the locking nut, you don't need the serrated part on the washer. What you need to remember is to spin the nut counter clockwise just a little then forward enough to catch the original cut plastic groves that the original or first person installed it. That way your not making new groves and shortening it's lock feature. Same goes for removing your screws from the plastic parts. Just spin the screws back a bit to help find it's original position, make it snug and don't over tighten.

There's a buggy version of this that's the same chassis/drivetrain/suspension but a different cage and panels. UDIRC UD1001 aka Pinecone Model SG1001.

I use two 2800mah 4s packs and a parallel connector. And swapped the esc to a bl120 g2

Nice video! Can't wait to see comparison to Baja rey!! I like this truck but needs tuning of diffs (basically empty) and check shocks for correct bleeding. Slave shocks don't have pistons so don't do much dampning.

Never bought a UDR. Always thought they looked badass but I was never sure if it would be more fun than a Mojave. Never driven either though. Guess I should at least drive em to try it out. I’ll be over in ten minutes guy!

@MikeD-ug8dk 4 weeks ago

@2:05 I bet those screws that just turn, have nuts on the other side of them. You just are spinning them. I still have Zop batteries from 10 years ago. Banggood still sells them. Just not the size I wanted. I had some 2s lipos that fit perfectly into sand scorcher plastics. Never built the schorcher. Just used the batteries time to time.

Looks a little slow on the dirt. I think there's a guy on another channel that put a Mojave 4S motor in it and it rips way harder. The suspension looks pretty friggin smooth though!

@RonaldVCg 4 weeks ago

I would love to see a direct comparison with the UDR. although it seems pretty well setup, I still believe it can't really be a match for the UDR, suspension wise and overall feel.. Oh and to those who say this is a UDR ripoff, it's just not. this is practically what a short course truck looks like and made it smaller, just like they did with the UDR.
