Being cancelled is a better fate than being made on Unreal Engine

Valve: wanted to encourage players to change weapons

Also Valve: added laser sight upgrade

Hey, I'm a developer on the project Terror Strike. We're thankful for the time Richter gave us in the video as a spot, and overall we're pretty happy on how the video turned out. Hopefully this can spark some interest in our project.

Edit: I'm no longer a developer, haven't been for a year now. Please don't take this as anything else than just life got in the way, don't spread mis-information about it or I will come find you lol

Fun fact about the Cabin in the Woods promotion, it went actually went both ways, and if you pay attention in the movie can see some of the Special Infected make a cameo in the movie.

I really like that common infected sitting animation, gives the impression there's a tiny bit of humanity still in there.

Louis's final design was a tribute to Shaun of the Dead. Both Louis and Shawn wear bright red ties and white buttoned shirts stained with blood.

Left 4 Dead will be 15 years old next month for this year and let me tell ya, this game is amazing.

According to folk lore the V sign being offensive here in Britain was due to the French cutting off the two fingers of our longbow infantry and pointing them at others as a threat… but that’s highly contentious.

just saying but the fact we didn't get the cabin in the woods dlc is such a shame, especially since it was like 80% complete

@tub- 1 month ago

Well now we have it

Another fact you missed in this video is that Left 4 Dead was inspired by the Bill's hat in Team Fortress 2

7:00 another thing about the screamer is that the devs also found it to be overpowered as it was almost impossible to kill him before he scream too, super annoying cause he can just be at some random corner spamming it. And guess what back 4 blood did..... they brought it back and it ended being 1 of the most annoying card you could get

Okay I love that at 12:38, the CEDA worker's other two iterations were Dwight Schrute (The Office) and Maurice Moss (IT Crowd).

@tsaranko 1 year ago

12:38 we couldve had dwight schrute in l4d???

@overlordswapi594 2 years ago

seeing Dwight from The Office
and Ross from IT Crowd as concept art for a survivor in Left 4 Dead 2 took me so heavily off guard you have no idea

The Cabon in the Woods tie-in is also fun because you can actually see a Witch, Hunter, Smoker, and Tank IN THE FILM.

In that big zoom-out scene where you see all the monsters, those four are right there in their own boxes. I showed this to someone on the DVD just last week!

Beta Louis looks like a character straight out of TTG's The Walking Dead

Man both l4d games are masterpieces. I cant believe that the first one turns 15 next month

Left 4 Dead 2 was THE video game I played with no internet at 13 years old. I put so many offline hours into just playing through the game with bots. 10/10 masterpiece. The best part was that they gave me the game for free in 2014-2015 for Christmas!

Im really happy the survivors got changed, having them all look as though they just stepped out of their everyday lives into this hell makes the game feel all the more frantic and desperate. Great stuff
