"Adam worked so hard but always looked well rested."
Hm. That's a weird thing to bring up.
"Before going to sleep, Adam whipped out a Manta Sleep Sound Mask."
OH YOU SON OF A

[yall in the replies are takin this too far, bros gotta make money for the ministry so he made a silly ad placement, i fully support it]

That manta sleep ad was ruthless, man.

Marcus been going on some generational journeys recently 😂

the symbolic route only works if we weren't literally given a family ledger of descendants

You had me right up to the sleep mask commercial.

"God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth." If Adam and Eve didn't start reproducing right after they were created that would have been the first sin. It never stated cain and Abel were their first kids, just they  were one of their kids.

The issue with marrying your sister goes back to the danger of shared genetic defects, but Adam and Eve were created by God, and wouldn't have genetic defects.

That product placement was legendary

That sleep mask segway hit so hard that I genuinely watched the whole sponsor

Sister and cousin marriage is literally in Genesis. Abraham and Sarah were half siblings. Abraham sends his servant to find a relative for Isaac to marry. Clearly, this was either the norm or at least not unusual in that era of history.

Scripture doesn’t say Adam and Eve only had 2 children. It just explicitly calls out 2 by name because they are important. It’s understood that they had many, many children.

The traditional view is the right answer. There's one problem with the genetic dilemma: we keep comparing the time today. The genetics mutated so much that it looked too widespread. Mind you, Adam lived for 900 years after the flooding; that is where the genetic mutation starts. In conclusion, many events happened during that time. Therefore, it is possible that there were 2 humans at the beginning and that, over time, the gene mutated so much that it became widespread. And besides, maybe years from now we will make another scientific discovery about genes. Which will answer the loophole in the traditional view. Because I also believe there's only a loophole in the traditional view because we lack the knowledge and scientific discovery of the genetic code. That's why I will stand by the traditional view.

Adam and eve had MANY sons and daughters. That's what the text says. There were no other humans before Adam. Cain married his sister.

That sleep mask proves that we have time travel tech.....

Man that segue into the Sleep Mask advertisement was merciless!

In Jewish folklore, specifically popularised by a medieval text called the Alphabet of Ben Sira, Lilith was Adam's first wife. in our modern bible it is excluded but extra-biblical traditions, Islamic folklore, and ancient Jewish commentaries state that he was born with a twin sister. According to the Ethiopian Orthodox biblical tradition, which includes the ancient Book of Jubilees, Cain married his twin sister, who is named Awan.

He took one of his sisters as a wife. They lived for hundreds of years. So it makes sense they had siblings.

You definitely used Gravity Falls as an animation reference for the people sitting around the camp fire around the 16 minute mark. You have Wendy, Uncle Stan and Mabel.
