I collapsed a lung 10 years ago. It almost took me from this world quite frankly.

So after the doctors repaired what they were able to, and then get me on the mend, I was informed by one lung specialist that I would be in the hospital for a minimum of two months, possibly longer.

I am a fan of The Lord of The Rings, and after demolishing the trilogy, and then The Hobbit, I needed something else. A coworker had brought The Dark Elf trilogy with the invitation to "try it out".

"Thats nerd shit, Steve" I said, not realizing i in fact am a nerd..

"Bro, you read Lord of The Rings, shut up an read these. You'll thank me later" he says.

Well. Thanks Steve. The books you gave me have helped me through a real hard time.

This franchise/series of books have done more for me than words can articulate.

A friend got me into the novels back in '92. They lifted me out of a period of depression.

Later ofc, the pc games came out, once again lifting me of a very rough  stage of my life.

I guess you could say they were my savior.

A very special thanks for this piece of nostalgia.

Been a fan of this region ever since Icewind dale came out! Kuldahar Theme is still one of the greatest pieces of rpg music ever made.

I'm currently playing in a Forgotten Realms 5e campaign. My character is a Reghed Barbarian turned paladin of Tempus.

as a DM that has ran ROTFM, i have to say: you inspire me deeply.  great video.

Love your content, keep it coming 😊

My brother handed my the Icewind Dale trilogy when I was 16, back in 1998. I was hooked hard after that book. I'm proud to say that I have read all of the books of Drizzt.

So good! I'm going to start Rime off the Frostmaiden  soon and I think I'll show this to my players at sesh 0.

Aww yeah. We are in for a treat today my friends. Stay awhile and listen.

Pretty neat seeing the cover art for the first Frostgrave Barbarians box around 16:58 or so.

I just finished Maestro..one of my favorite out of the series

I just finished reading the crystal shard, it was way better than I was expecting and now I know why so many people recommend it. I also finished Icewind Dale and its expansion Heart of winter earlier in the year which made me fall in love with the setting and lead me to reading the crystal shard.

I'm old and have never played D&D but am reading the books .  Great overview .

Love these stories! Thank you for all your work.

Love these videos. I post them on my DND server. One of my players assumed that vecna would show up in the campaign they're a player in because of video. I'm like "relax it's just a cool video with some lore" lol

I still remember when you first started this channel. It inspired me to go back and start the full legend of Drizzt from start to finish, currently on book 13. And in the mean time this has easily become one of the coolest channels on YouTube to follow along with while reading them, good work man.

SO Good! 😊 Seriously! Thanks so much

Thanks for the video. Very thorough research.
I liked the legacy partal a lot.

Man. Great job!

yes!!!!!
