Let me know whether YOU believe the Assassins were (more) correct or the Templars! Also was the purge justified? Was it too brutal?

The fact that connor basically solod the templars of america and maintained power into the civil war is honeslty insane.

Man some of these multiplayer characters have potential to be main characters of a story

Shay didn't completely eradicate the Colonial Brotherhood, but his actions during the Seven Years War broke Achilles' once powerful Brotherhood and left them in shambles. Haytham took care of what remained of the Brotherhood after Shay left the Colonies to look for the Precursor Box.

Conner said he was still fighting at the grave of Achilles. Eventually, many “Assassin hunters” were sent to Connor, but all seem to have gone to the same place as Charles Lee😇

Honestly, Assassin's creed 3 would have been so much better if you had these assassin hunters coming after you.

If it's any consolation, at least the purge gave way for Connor to rebuild and reform the Colonial Brotherhood into something stronger and better. So much so that they had the Templars on the backfoot for 90+ years going into the American Civil War.

Shay still has the best looking outfits of any AC character.

I really liked his master outfit. All white but the red trim formed a big templar cross on the back. Absolutely fantastic.

What I love about the Colonial Templar's downfall is how poetic it is. Haytham began the Order, wiped out the Assassin's without a single problem in the way, and successfully inducted a trained Assassin into the order. Only for all that to fall apart years later because of his own son, Connor. As naive as Connor was, his righteousness and determination fed his willpower and basically showed the Templars that, despite the Colonial Assassins being jerks prior to his rival, no one is far from redemption and they can always rebuild to be stronger and better than what they were before. All it took was a spark to light it all up AKA Charles Lee basically awakening the beast that would be Connor. Just like the Colonial Assassins, the Templars fell because of their own arrogance.

Rogue made me realize that no matter who takes power, in the end, someone else will always take you down.

While I don't agree that the Assassins were shown to be "Cartoonishly evil" due to the fact that prior games made Templars in a similar way. I actually think they did a great job at showing that some assassins can be that evil, or egotistical. I think the game did a great job at that despite some disagreement. However I completely agree on the sentiment that Rogue should have shown more Hunters. It would have made for such a great thing especially if you add the mechanic from Brotherhood to train new recruits, send them on missions, and eventually become Templar Masters or professionals. It would have been awesome. Regardless, Rogue is actually my favorite AC game.

Shay killed the main targets, the others just eradicated the remains which resulted in Achilles being in exile at his homestead.

the colonial brotherhood purge is basicaly the equivalent of order 66 events in assasins creed

@ziahamm1603 1 year ago

It was refreshing to play a game where the narrative was flipped on its head, showing us the assassins were just as capable of being flawed as much as the Templars

@haengeltheknight1212 1 year ago

The Assassins are just like the Templars, the difference is what they believe in, while one is chaotic, the other believes in order. There are good people in both sides and there are bad people in both sides.
However, Ubi can’t have anymore nuance past Unity, so now all Templars are supposed to be mustache-twirling villains, even if the og AC had that nuance from the beginning.
