I was so blessed to grow up around some great fishermen like Jack Samson and Ed Zern but I have always wanted to meet Flip. Luckily, I get to know him through these videos you make - one friend covering another! I’m so sorry for your loss but the tribute is marvelous and I can’t imagine all those memories you have. Kinda like mine with Ed, Jack, my father and others. God Bless! 🙏🏼

Thank you for sharing this heartfelt tribute to a man that inspired me to learn flyfishing. I watched flip on walkers cay chronicles as a kid. I looked forward to every episode on Saturdays. Beautiful tribute. I grew up in Miami and started fishing Flamingo in 1974. We used to see a Hewes all the way up in Snake Bight back then named "Last Flat" as we were learning the the area. We would watch through our binoculars and eventually started fishing some of the same areas. We learned that the guide was named Flip Pallot. All these years later after I left Miami I occasionally corresponded with Flip and told him the story. As you would imagine, he got a kick out of hearing that.

Well said, everyone. Lefty, Jose and Flip 🙏 In this film a frigate flew above all of you and, yes, I believe that was Flip! By the way I'm a long time DEAF fly fisherman and former 1st cochlear implant captain (fly fishing guide in NW FL). In 1990s I was self-taught fly angler after I learned by Flip in his fishing show, The Walker's Cay Chronicles. I'm still VERY proud of myself in fly fishing and I really wanted to THANK Flip (I've never met him in person) for learning! God bless y'all and GOOD LUCK in fishing 🎣
