The letter to the Ephesians was written by the Apostle Paul. The recipients were the faithful (believers) in Ephesus. The church in Ephesus was composed of both Jewish and Gentile believers and Paul urges unity. Some of the earliest manuscripts, however, omit Ephesus leading us to believe that this was written to all believers in a circular letter. A circular letter was one meant to be circulated amongst all the organized churches. Chapters 1-3 discuss the believer’s wealth as adopted children of God while Chapters 4-6 discuss the believer’s walk as the Truth changes our daily lives.
