Riding my favourite Llandovery lanes on the tail end of our summers heatwave with Roger and Matt ,lovely route with lots of variety and a few water splashes!. Determined not to let our encounter with SWWTRF members spoil our day we carried on and finished the rest of our lanes. As this was not the first time we encountered unfriendly behaviour from this group of riders we raised the issue regarding use of lanes and conduct with the TRF directors providing video footage . SWWTRF come to the decision to suspend both myself and Roger instead with immediate effect refusing to give any reason as to why, It does seem that SWWTRF have no concern regarding their members following the correct TRF code of conduct rules and are happy to be represented in this way by their riders with rude behaviour. Very dissapointed overall with the TRF , luckily suspension has been dished out at the end of my years paid membership . Feel free to drop in a comment if there are any stories worth a mention regarding experiences whilst being a TRF member.

It's a real shame to see things reach this point, especially when the people I've personally experienced as some of the most welcoming and inviting riders around are being put through this.
Whatever has gone on behind the scenes, seeing this has honestly put me off getting involved with the TRF. But it absolutely would never put me off riding with you guys.
Hopefully things can eventually get back to what the TRF should be about — people getting together, enjoying Wales, helping each other and having a good day's riding.
You guys are awesome!
As an active member of the southern TRF (Hampshire), I have only witnessed positive and encouraging interactions between other trail riders, TRF or otherwise, experienced or new. To be honest, love a good trail natter, to get or give a heads up of the trail condition 👍🏻
All the best to you 👍🏻
I actually relented on my F-you memory of that incident and tried to join them in july this year but they refused to accept my 1 year membership. I emailed asking if i was still undesireable and was told i could only sign up on a recurring payment or not at all.
So it looks like ill be heading into my 46th year of 'you can go swivel' and using many new apps to find my way around.
Oh hum.
I’d have kicked him off if i’m honest. Grown men who think they own the trails yet probably don’t have enough grass to make a bale . Cannot stand them hence why I do my own thing and always will.
Great content all the same 😅
I think you'll find that response from the TRF is standard across the board....
at least they didn't stop and give you the 3rd degree on what you were doing and assess whether you had the right to be there, as my experience once.
