Such an iconic show. Rachel Tucker, Samantha Barks and Jessie Buckley have gone on to have spectacular careers.

I love how every time Andrew Lloyd Webber walks in they play the phantom's theme 😂😂😂

AHHH now Jessie won the oscar!!

These shows were gold

I miss shows like this :(

"I don't know whether you should go through or not" - utter bullsh*t... he knew full well in that moment she was Nancy hahaha

56:49 practically NO samantha in this episodeee, producers had no idea how far she would go

Baby Katie Hall is the cutest thing ever

Jodie stood out even in the auditions. Worthy winner.

Katie Hall at about 23:00 and 34:00.   Not a "Nancy" but what talent!   2 years later she would be Cosette to Samantha's Eponine at the 25th anniversary concert, both 19 years old then (17 here).

47:16 is my brother who actually ended up being Oliver. Fun fact 😂

Look at how far Jessie Buckley has gone since this!!

I love love that they showed Shani Wallis and let her talk. She’s the BEST Nancy ever. If anyone is Nancy, Shani is. Always will be!

It's amazing watching this years after it aired and thinking those kids auditioning for Oliver are so adorable and small, when in reality I was even younger than they were when this was filmed and they're all grown now!

“Well I reckon Nancy was a bit of a sort” 🤣

This show brings back so many memories! I’ve only realised now that Samantha Barks who I’ve just seen as Elsa in Frozen and Rachel Tucker in Wicked (one of my favourite Elphies and in Come From Away!) had starred in this Sat night show I was hooked

gosh this show is so iconic! imma binge this before my school starts

They didn't know if they should put Jodie through- goes on to win the role.

Katie is my favourite Cosette, Christine AND Fantine! =D

Nancy: "My dad introduced me to singing. He wasn't an actor or something, he was..."
Me: "HAWT OMG"
