This episode had a pulse, a bad attitude, and enough bite to leave a scar!

I love his voice, sounds like the 50s 😃

Finally, Darren McGavin's love for that "leg lamp" makes sense.

Leonard Nimoy on "M Squad", as an arsonist; William Shatner in a pilot for "Nero Wolfe" as Archie Goodwin; now DeForest Kelley on "Mike Hammer"..  wow!! Lol.

Deforest Kelly was a great actor!❤

Darren McGavin was great. Watching him, I don't care how corny the story is. He's having fun, and so am i.

good ole cozy 50s crime shows 30 minutes of pure intrigue and action..😊

The Great Kolchak The Night Stalker ! & Dr. "Bones" Leonard McCoy They Were Great !👽👿  🌹🌹RIP.

This was a little before my time. These shows were great; they told a complete story in 30 mins. Also, seeing DeForest Kelly as a killer, then next as a weak brother. Thanks for showing these old seri.

It could only be a Mickey Spillane novel Mike was reading. Spillane's Mike Hammer paper backs were read to shreds aboard ship.

What a role for Deforest Kelley!
Also, they really tried hard for a cynical noir style in this show.  Besides Hammer himself, the "best" character in this episode is the ex-boyfriend who laid hands on Ruby.

Tooleman, thanks for sharing this.
From 23:30 on,  it's plain in the subtext the older sister  had forced an incestuous relationship on her younger brother.
This was why he was so full of rage - "I hadn't done a thing to her that you hadn't done to me", meaning since he had
been using the show girl for sex,  the same applied to his sister and him.
In the 50's you had to dance around such things, hoping the viewer was savvy enough to "get it".
Just as with Lawrence Harvey sleeping with his mother in The Manchurian Candidate, which is why he kills her at
the end.  In the book his mother, a Communist mole, uses his conditioning to order him to sleep with her, it was
horrific, so they couldn't put that scene in the movie version.

I love the decent way that people dressed in those days.

Thanks TooleMan. I did not know about this series.

Deforest Kelly also played captain on a sub in the Series, The Silent Service.

The young DeForest Kelley made his rounds on some series before Star Trek, didn't he? He was great!

Bones is nuts on weels!

I remember this show when I was 12. Always thought Darrin was best!

Interesante video gracias por compartir ❤. No conocía esta serie con buenos actores como el gran Darren McGavin y bellas actrices invitadas. ❤❤

Deforest Kelly was Dr. Leonard (bones) McCoy.  Playing miss Robinson’s brother. And sue Anne Langdon. And pat O’Malley. Great actors.
