Just bought a new cue last night and the difference is really throwing me.

This is exactly the sort of video I needed to see right now.

I need to get my technique under control so I can get used to the new cue and start actually improving.

Thanks Ben and John, another excellent video, very informative.
Both of you a lot more natural in front of the camera...Ben's nerves a little less shot, given the pressure of like real time potting! 😂
Funny how Ben and 1 or 2 others I know always pick a straight yellow to start. Me, I always start with a half ball yellow trace of helping side of the cushion, normally sets up similar shot on green. Straight screw shot seems more difficult for positiong on green...

So when you said you cue a bit low but naturally come up as you play the shot you're compensating for your natural cue action & cue moving up the cue ball as you strike!

Just a very simple suggestion to Ben. For the first few shot I see his posture is totally out of the line. The whole body is not on a straight line. Just a treat can fix the problem. As Ben is on the tall side, I am also. I asked Gemini and it suggest me to learn from Judd. To stand with a huge step forward and a bit wider. Once I follow this instructions. I can hit the ball straight very easily like how Judd plays the power shot. Meanwhile, also make sure the chest is widely open. Meaning the shoulder of the bridge hand is closer to the head.
