In my experience getting better at potting comes down to two main things: repetition and the ability to determine what good looks like when you're down on the shot. What I mean by that is when you're aiming, you can tell if you're going to hit it too thick or thin. You can only tell that though by repeating the shot over and over until you know what good looks like. That's been the single biggest difference maker for me.

Great explanation of a very common problem

You wouldn't believe how tight those middle pockets actually are. Makes our club table middles look like buckets!😅
Well done John

Good advice and a great practice routine.  I struggle with middle pockets, so I'll definitely be trying this one.

This is fantastic!
I'll try this for sure 👌

Never played a table like that as far as tightness and cut of the mifdles! Its borderline ridiculous so that takes some doing on there! Great video mate!

Very good video, I will practice these

One of my pink practice routines was potting the pink continuously into both middles and end pockets going in a circle with my position play.

This is excellent. I've noticed i miss 80% near jaw. That's not technique that's aiming so I've been practicing something similar myself trying to learn to trust it but for whatever reason I subconsciously keep aiming to miss. The correct line just won't sink in. More of these please

Nicely done, John, thanks. I'll give this one a try.

That looks like a Snooker supplier venue Jon..Green Baize perhaps..??
Great video & a problem of mine sorted

Good video John, wish I lved up Tyneside for a coaching session. The first practice i do when having a practice session is pot yellow or green into the centre pockets, you have to be so accurate at that angle. Another I like to do is imagine I am clearing up and have traveled too far down for the pink, so I have to pot it in the centre and screw back for the black.

How about the nap taking the ball a bit

Mate that thumbnail makes me want to barf 🤮. How hard is it to take a real photo

Stop using AI in your thumbnails, looks cheap and unprofessional
