Thats actually a crazy idea, about some insanely rich person trying to collect every gold chocobo. That's the only way I ever seeing every chocobo being found, is if that individual put out a super high bounty on every remaining chocobo, so that there was a guaranteed buyer at some extreme price. That might be enough incentive for people to rip them all.

The boxes are $1200 now and still rising.
If surge's & borderless foils keep going up, then it is still worth ripping collector booster boxes to test your luck.
But, I think it's safer to just catch some restocks for the collector booster pks & gift bundles.
Each collector pk goes for 45 retail & 100-110 resell.
They're safer to rip, same with gift bundles, which are 100 retail, & around 170 resell, but come with 9 extra regular pks.

I open three collector boxes (2 from one store, 1 from another) and got two neon chocobos (yellow & green). Kept one and sold the other. Also, pulled some insane surge foils (tifa and cloud, the commander versions).
