Watching Yuzuru Hanyu win worlds in 2017 is what got me into the sport. His jumps and especially his triple axel that day were mesmerising. I'm so glad I got to watch him while he was still competing

Rio Nakata also has beautiful 3A. but Yuzuru is special. absolutely different league

My top favourite is Yuzuru Hanyu, known for mastering the 3A jump. His entry is the most difficult with a counter-turn, then immediately jumps. It doesn't feel like we are waiting for a jump (as with other skaters). The exit is also with difficult and seamless transitions. His consistency with this jump means that he can attach another jump after the 3A and still get high GOE for it.

Our young Hana Bath has 2 triple Axel's at 16 she's Australian training in Japan.shes amazing ❤

🇨🇳Yan Han had a HUGE 3A! The distance it covered was unreal.

🇨🇦Patrick Chan had a frenemy relationship with his 3A. There were days when it was his friend and days when it was his nemesis.

I'm glad that you included Todd Eldredge as he really inserted the triple axel into his programs at the right moments.

я считаю что на 1 месте должен быть Юзуру Ханю

I love these videos! I’m a relatively new figure skating fan so I love being introduced to skaters from all different eras and learning what set them apart from their peers.

Ilya Kulik's feather-light landings and Hanyu's beautiful, flowing jumps left a strong impression on me, but I can't forget Han YAN's triple Axel, which consistently traveled over 4 meters.
His success rate in competitions wasn't that high, but when he did land it, it was magnificent.

Joshua Farris had the most beautiful triple axel I have ever seen. Such a shame... it still breaks my heart when I think about what happened to him.

When you asked who you would count on for a triple Axel during the Plushenko segment I immediately shouted "Brian Boitano!".  So glad he was #1. 😊

I think without any doubt, Brian Orser - who actually has the best air position of any male skater in the air - has the most effortless and elegant triple axel.

Please watch Viktor Petrenko's short and long performances at the 1991 World Championships.  This is as close to triple axel perfection as you can get.

Yuzuru Hanyu el mejor de todos

Definitely should’ve included Yan Han (comments bear this out too!). So many examples of his picture perfect 3As on YouTube. IMHO I’d have him in over Plushenko and Malinin (for overall quality speed flow and, of course, distance).

Perhaps I’m biased but I’m quite surprised Mikhail Shaidorov isn’t included on the list, from current men in the field I think his is the best, that distance has to be one of the longest trixels I’ve seen! And he looks so light coming down from it, but the length is really the star, watching it compared to the rinks size is mind blowing!

YUZURU HANYU is the best!!

❤Agree with you in that Brian Boitano made me fall in love with ice skating but Ilia Malinin will be my goat forever now.

In the current era, Misha Shaidorov's 3A gets me every time, the way he jumps half the rink with it is insane. Like, dude can do 4T and 4S after his trixel, it's so light, so smooth, so powerful, and he attacks it from a huge speed, too. And I believe he's the second person after Ilia who can add it in a sequence. Genuinely, I love his 3A more than Ilia's, but I laughed when you said at Denis' 3A that no hair moved on his head, because Misha's helicopter hair is the complete opposite.
