“I don’t know why my videos keep getting put in the self-improvement category”

Then proceeds to give real fuckin good advice

Being in this generation as a teenager is hard ngl.
This Generation is built on self hate and jealousy of others and blindly doing what influencer say to be "successful" and have a "good life"
Young peeps are just so desperate we're the point they want to do anything to make thier life better.

watching so many videos to improve yourself you forget to actually start improving yourself
edit: we just gotta do the thing, understand ourselves and our goals and start getting to work as best as we can even at 10%
ps: these philosophy videos are awesome!

being a teenager is so hard because it feels like everyone is more "put together" than you. Its basically so much jealousy just towards anyone around you because they have something that you want whether it be clothes or how they look. Comparison in teenagers is so sad and all of us go through it just because we want to fit in with society.

Gen Z is the first ever generation to be born during the popularity explosion of the internet. What's so difficult for Gen Z to manage is the fact that they have virtually no guidance from older generations (mainly parents), since wisdom is built on experience. If a parent hasn't experienced the dangers of the internet, how will they pass on said wisdom to their child? They can't. Gen Z are the pioneers of this era; a path no generation in the history of humanity has walked.

The world is full of insecurity disguised as confidence being protected by arrogance. They’re nothing without their image

I like how everyone actually has a brain and being vulnerable in this comment section and not saying bot stuff good on you guys

When a guy is insecure about their manhood, the last thing he should do is narcissistically seek validation or buy into any scheme that markets to desperation. The true virtues of being manly (or any self-respecting person) are humility, patience, compassion, respect, honesty, responsibility, etc. To put it simply, stfu and become your own person—this is what truly inspires real confidence and security.

Also like as a woman who knows other women, the biggest reason women don’t want to date men is because of misogyny. As a man, focus on educating urself on misogyny, women’s lives, disparities between men and women, feminism, intersectionality, etc. and call out other ppl’s misogyny and that’s the biggest green flag for women. It also just makes u a better, more intelligent person in general to know the day to day experience of others. The rest is just loving urself instead of changing parts of urself, ur body, etc just for OTHER ppl

they’re not even trying to improve themselves, the thing with bp is that its not even stoicism, its videos teaching teenagers to hate themselves and hate how they look and in results of that is that they feel like they need to improve themselves not for the sake of themselves but on how they want others to perceive them.

the “genuine growth” part matters. i keep setting goals that sound cool online, not goals i want. System Zero’s courtship domain is wild to even include.

When everyone's super NO ONE WILL BE

I feel like today's or Gen Z's (us) self improvement is in a difficult spot. Because some uses "self improvement" for clout and social validation while others uses it actually for themselves.

Especially since the rise of "looksmaxxing" and all that stuff, the meaning of self improvement for genz has been convoluted and messy for some time now

0:23 I genuinely just woke up at 4 pm after going to bed at 8 am 😭😭

I always fall into the cycle of "Get better at blank, improve blank" instead of just taking time with life. I always tell myself I'm not doing anything to the best of my ability, or that I am failing at

life, so I fall into the toxic cycle where nothing really changes, except I feel worse about myself. Sometimes I need to remind myself that not having a lot of money or friends isn't something permanent.
I think I might just be too harsh on myself lol.
Then I have social media just spamming me with 15 year olds making 100k a month saying "Get your money up bro" and I hate it. It's so fake. Same with relationships, everyone is just aggressively shoving how happy they are in my face, it makes it feel less genuine.
Me personally the only thing I enjoy doing is making YT videos, which almost never do well stats wise, and sometimes I can barely deal with it, but I keep going, because it's all I really like doing.

The insane volume of media we consume in today’s world is unmatched to older generations. Most hobbies are just scrolling through tiktok and watching streamers… literally people need to touch grass

I saw a great video about the philisophical ideas of Nihilism and how it relates to looxmaxing and such. The idea was that with the idea that there is no higher power (not just god, but the higher power of morals, what should be done, what you feel your purpose in the world is) you yourself become the higher point, and so you obsess over your looks and you fall into a cycle of "self-impovement" which is really just an obsession of the self to distract yourself from the fact that you have no unique direction for your life.

7:27 look no one needs to listen to me but i’m just saying it from experience but don’t try your hardest to impress someone try your hardest to impress yourself

the trap is that real self improvement is quiet and boring, but the internet only rewards the loud performative version. the people actually getting better usually arent posting about it

6:40 hearing this is amazing
