We travel in our Big Rig RV, a Dynamax DX-3 Super-C named BaseCamp, with our Jeep Rubicon on an unforgettable backroad Big Rig RV Road Trip adventure!  This time, we have an early morning start from our RV Camping spot in Kanab UTAH, as we travel to The Wave parking lot to tackle Buckskin Gulch, the longest slot canyon in the USA.  But there’s a twist—this epic 17-mile slot canyon hike is full of thigh-deep mud-puddles.  Is it worth the challenge? Absolutely!

Next, we attempt to explore Zion National Park on a Sunday in mid-September.  But is Zion overcrowded?  Unfortunately!

So, we pivot and discover an off-the-beaten-path hidden gem—Smithsonian Butte National Backcountry Byway. This scenic drive just outside Zion’s south entrance is a perfect and easy off-road Jeep trail with stunning southwestern desert views.
