Such a cute movie. This actor did a fine job, but I certainly can see why it was written either way Will Rogers for the part. I could hear him say every line. Thank you for sharing.

Cobb is like an old fashioned coach giving a pep talk to the sales team. This movie was made during the Depression and is full of can do and good humored effort. It gets off to a good start right away with the premise of the diehard competitor who's demoralized by the death of his arch rival. Real Americana.

I'm 83 and as a child I remember everyone of those magazines and I miss them. Left out Sunset magazine McCalls. Magazine had Betsy McCall's paper dolls . Amusing story.

Rochelle Hudson started out in A productions with Claudette Colbert in Immatation of Life. She was very good as her daughter and love rival for Warren Williams affection. Too bad she didn't have a bigger career.

It was a very enjoyable film. The pacing and storyline held my interest and the resolution was most satisfying. (Hey, two things: Didn't old Mr. Franklin have a wife when he went off to Europe? What became of her? Second, other than old Mr. Franklin, the cast of actresses and actors were notable good looking.)
