I think the biggest argument in favour of putting people in the gunner turret of both the scorpius AND the hurricane is that: They are highly effective turrets and gives purpose to people who are bad pilots, as a force multiplier over just bringing a hornet, because having 2 hornets is useless if one of them is flown by someone who isn't good.

Giving turrets a weapon velocity buff would help with a lot of things, including making ships like the the hurricane more distinct and viable.

I've only flown light fighters so far ingame, but the heavy fighter I got interested in and was planning on working toward was the Vanguard Warden, it's a shame that it's in such a sad state at the moment. I'm wagering that since it's a Navy ship it will play some kind of role in Squadron 42 and so we'll see it reworked sooner rather than later. Another thing I'm hoping for is that when we get another round of engineering updates, heavy fighters will wind up with higher power generation across the board that can be pumped into engines so they can boost for significantly longer than light fighters, and that will let them all more or less pull the same kind of maneuvers you describe for the Scorpius, for a limited time at least. If they're trying to make it like WW2 in space, WW2 air combat had agile turnfighters and also fast, heavily armed 'boom and zoom' fighters, but it seems like in Star Citizen the turnfighters simply dominate because the less agile fighters don't have the speed advantages their WW2 counterparts had.

I love the Guardians, I wish they'd do something about the S5 guns tho. Other than Omnisky XV there's no S5 gun I vibe with. The Lightstrikes would be great but they just feel underpowered for some reason. Re the Antares: One problem most EMP ships have is the fact that you can hit your teammates with it nearby. I would say put something like a beam shaping dome as a turret on the Antares that the copilot controls. The range of the EMP or Dampener is dependent on the spread angle, so , for example , at 360 degrees the range might be only 200m, but if you limit the angle to 30 degrees it might go out to 1km but the copilot will need to be skilled enough to keep the target within that angle to get the effect. This gives the turret gunner something skill based to do and the team doens't have to worry about getting zapped along with the target.

Heavy Fighter is always the pilot I wanted to be yet I’ve melted them all for an awesome Paladin, but I don’t always have a gunner so I may go back. Great vid!

Part of me wishes gimbals vs non gimbals would retain some level of balance, fixed should be more rewarding, tho of course difficult to use. Specially since gimbals on sticks are a pain :P

VANGUARD HARBINGER load out, ATTRITION-5, GVSR, ATTRITION-3, missiles RATTLER II, THUNDERBOLT III, STALKER V, the key is all the weapons fire rate are similar but speeds of the weapon is the same so you only worry about one pip. No ship with an unbalanced loadout will preform well it will fail. Also what your hunting is also relevant.

My org recently flew against Vitnijr's group in the PU.

They mauled us in short order.A s a group, they definitely benefit from seeing the positives and limitations of every craft we get to fly.

Since the release of 4.7 We've noticed a greater variety of craft being flown around the PU in PVP areas. I think this channel shouldtake some credit for opening people's eyes to the opportunities.

I personally refer a lot of people to this video and channel because of the objective, analytical content. Keep it up!

My favorit heavy and fighter in general is the hurricane. It is so much fun. Would add more missiles to the ship. Also diffrent ball turrets would be cool. Maby one for solo pilots. Getting a dual size 3 turret.

Antares with proper electronic warfare would be awesome. Gameplay for the backseater probably similar to mining gadgets and lasers (adjusting frequencies, power and stuff). See that Idris over there ? Fiddle with the systems a bit and poof - his PDCs stopped tracking. Need to get through a blockade ? Set up the jammers right and they'll see a ton of false targets, GL finding the real ones in the chaos.

nice video.
making the hurrican better? slave the turret to the pilot when soloing.
i personally use and love the guardian qi - i fly with hosas, so the "bad" gimbal does not effect me (who flys with sticks and gimbles anyway?).
