Always loved Phil; taught me about my heritage with some of his words. Loved his sentiments regarding his homeland- "When I'm in England,I say I'm from Ireland. When I'm in Ireland, I say I'm from Dublin. When I'm in Dublin, I say I'm from Crumlin. When I'm in Crumlin,I say I'm from Leyland Road. And when I'm on Leyland Road, I say I'm a Lynott!"
Thin Lizzy best Band ever, I've been hearing since 1978/79 a friend showed me a cassete tape with two songs, cowboy song and the boys are back in town, and he said: let me show you something that you'll Go crazy, and you will never ever stop listening, he was right !!!
I discovered Thin Lizzy when I was about 13. I had already been interested in learning to play guitar but as soon as I heard Phil I switched to bass. He's my all time hero.
I left school mid 70s.discovered Lizzy and followed every move they made throughout. I'm 60 now and still love this band. I sobbed in my wife's arms when Philip passed over. A rare gem, I miss him everyday. RIP. PHILO. XX 💞 🎸
