No-one wanted this Ford Ka. Why? Can we save it?

I won this Ford Ka for a £150 bid. Can we save it and how much will it cost? Will it drive 230 miles home?

Tinkering provided by Kitch at ‪@UPnDOWN‬ who also provides mild pee-taking and has some delusion that my red car is in fact pink.

Auction fees are a joke! Absolute daylight robbery.

@JungleJeffarnold 10 months ago

£246 in fees? for what????
Oh we spent 5 minutes doing paperwork

Going by the tyres and oil filter, the absent service history wouldn't have amounted to much anyway. 😂

That’s an awful lot of fees. Auction sites can truly be the worst sometimes.

It's insane that this car was heading towards the squisher, nicely saved Mr Hubnut.

"What do you say? Is it the new Bluesmobile or what?"

"Fix the rear wiper..."

If this new vehicle ends up with any nagging problems, you should call it KAren.

29:24 Scrapping due to 'service laziness' is the biggest environmental crime actually.
70-75% of bad enviromental impact with every car is to build it.

Isn't it ridiculous that you can hire a car and drive it, on your own, for little more than the cost of a single one way rail ticket.
Some years ago I priced a return from Cornwall to London and it was dearer than flying to India.

Shocked that a 2012 car is deemed seemingly only fit to be scrapped. Well done for saving it. Looks like it’s been a little unloved for most of its life.

Somebody has used exclamation marks on the last MOT certificate ‼️ These messages should be standardised, because that’s just diabolical.

Actually, that is quite a good little car, Ian. It will make someone an excellent little runner. We don't have those here in Canada.

Some good manly mental health therapy applied. Good to see you so happy Ian.

"Basic specs" - music to my ears. back in the day I had a Ford Ka in the original design. I ran it into the ground and then gave to a friend's daughter to run around in. Still going as far as I know.
