It is good to see you back Chris :eyes-purple-crying:

Welcome back, Chris! I remember when I play Arcanum when I was a kid and never finish it. Maybe thanks to you I will replay it and finally complete it.
Dobrze Cię znowu słyszeć!

Arcanum!!! God, I love this game

Welcome back, Chris! Just went through your channel looking to see if I had missed any uploads the other day.

I absolutely LOVE Arcanum.

Bro
I ADORE this game
That theme lives eternally in my soul

Didn't watch yet. Just wanted to say I'm glad you're still making videos and I'm very happy you chose to record something about Arcanum. I loved this game when I was a teenager! One of the all-time RPG classics.

It's one  of the greatest games I've ever played in my life. The soundtrack is also one of the best made, perfectly for the whole feeling of the game and the vibe of the game. 10/10 ❤

Why did this pop up in my feed now? I'm subbed to the channel, have been for ages. This came out 11 months ago wtf, I swear YouTube hates people that make good videos. Sorry I missed this LTG, I guess I'll have to manually check your channel from now on. Anyway love the videos!

On a crt, and in its native resolution, Arcanum looked pretty good for the time. Not any worse than Fallout at any rate. I see the noise and harshness in the captured footage, but much of that wasn't present originally.

I just picked this up on CD. I'm not sure if I will play it or not. I was trying to get it working on Linux but I might have to get a Windows OS for it.

This game introduced me to RPGs back in 2001. I just recently got it from GOG last week, and I am reliving my past.

There is item called keychein, condesating all keys in one inwentory block, you woud benefit from it. And it"s small thing unique for this game.

my first experience of steampunk

bro Vtmb and arcanum also got by me. But are both some of my favorite games. Given both of them have mods that fixed them for me

For anyone checking this out (and reading the comments so long after the fact) I feel I should point out that some of his points about conversation and immersion are SLIGHTLY mitigated by having companions, especially Virgil and Magnus.  Don't get me wrong, this isn't some sort of awe-inducing, masterful change.  But a number of companions have, shall we say, views on various goings on and places and they aren't afraid to make them known.  Just for starters, there's a dwarf companion you can get just before the necromantic jewellers, you'd better believe Magnus had a few thoughts on what was doing on, and some of the necromancer's counter-arguments to his points are also interesting (not great, but interesting).

Don't get me wrong, it's not up to modern standards and I'd say most of his critiques are spot on.  I love this game but have reservations about actually recommending it.  But I feel I have to mention that particular point, I'd say it's a little better than he's letting on.

ToEE was amazing

I got through this game but quit because the end game was dragging and end up switching to temple of elemental evil and finished that game

i played it 6 times i guess. good times

I made it about five minutes into this video before I had to turn it off. Idk if opinion changes but I think it is trash. Not the game. The game is a masterpiece. Your analysis is abysmal. The combat for one was revolutionary, allowing you to seamlessly switch between twitch and turn-based combat at the press of a button. If you had that much trouble than you were suffering a severe skill issue. The art is incredible and  the graphics are great for the time. you have an objectively bad memory of what fallout 1 looked like. The visuals are bad? Again your opinion is worthless to me. I wont be checking out any of your other videos.

very similiar game to dungeon siege 2
