A fun thing about Vhailor you may not know about: during the final confrontation, you get an option to revive one (and only one) of your companions to help you. If you choose Vhailor, an subsequently tell him about the Transcendent One, he will get a massive stat boost and proceed to solo the final boss for you.

Another fun thing about Vhailor you may not know about is that having him in the party is the only way to use Trias' sword. It's the best weapon in the game, and it can only be used by Lawful Good characters. However, if the only way to obtain it is to kill Trias, and doing that will shift your alignment away from Lawful Good, making you unable to use the sword. But if you have Vhailor in your party when you decide to spare Trias, the Mercykiller will step in and kill him anyway, allowing you to pick up the sword without compromising your alignment.

Planescape torment is my favorite game of all time. I'm very happy to have found this great video, you should make a video on baldurs gate 1 and 2 next. Keep up the great work !

Planscape is so great. In a way more interactive book than game. And the greatest line ever "I myself plan on finding the secret of the multiverse by rubbing cottage cheese all over my belly. Mmmm...cheese."
But i could never leave these companions behind, well except Vhailor. They are all so special and i will even share my XP with them.

Regarding Anna: You can, only once, kiss her. And man what a journey that is!!!!! The description of that moment is so passionate it actually gives you shivers down your spine. Awesome stuff.

I saw the Vhalor thing as a repetition of The Nameless One's canonical disregard for his "loyal" followers.
That one of your friends would just be mercilessly abandoned in oblivion, because "Oh, this guy has an additional 2 Strength stat - more damage, yes, please! Bye, best friend!"

Thanks for reminding me why I got that Planescape Tattoo all those years ago. I haven't played this game in over a decade. Tried Tides of Numenera but it just isn't the same. Out of all my favorite games - PS:T, Gothic, Knights of the Old Republic and Final Fantasy VII, this is the only one that doesn't seem to be getting any kind of remake treatment, possibly ever. Maybe it's for the best, but still a bit sad how people mostly just forgot about one of the best stories ever told across any medium.

I remember losing 3 hours an afternoon talking to some dude about the many planes of existence and being so enthralled and wanting to play so much more, but then I had to enter combat and quickly lost all interest in this game lmfao

No. It is death. According and bound by the limits of this game: It´s laws and lore. Beyond that (in our reality) it is much more complicated and extremely rare, but mostly relates to time, the concious, uncouncious and external (circumstantial).

You playng polish wersion? I like game, but its grim, full of psychiatric patient encounter. Not a problem to me, but i was surprised it is best selling D&D game after Baldurs Gates.

I hate to be that guy. I really do. I know it's been a year and my point is minor. However I am that guy. I can't just ignore it.

Nameless one didn't have one mind one death thing going on. It's just after a random number of deaths his mind would snap and he would forget everything, this depending on  the circumstances of his awakening and presumably other magical factors often resulted in a complete change in personality.

His other lives would never consider dying as a shortcut to the Mortuary if it meant they lost all their memories.

They would wake up an amnesiak, try to figure out their situation, die many times and then lose their memories after dying too much usually with some help from the final boss and his shades. If they managed to find the fortress with the coolest name.

Other than that this is a great video. I'll give you a follow.

The combat is terrible. The game should be remade with them removed and nothing else changed.

Easily one of my favorite stories ever told in an arpg. And the writing in Torment is on such a superior level...

Yeah, this game surely cares a lot to emphasize womens suffering. Not a surprise, considering the feminist agenda of   Black Isle Studios  (far more after Obsidian was founded).
